    I have always been annoyed by the "sell him", "get rid" comments of almost all the players that are not natural first eleven. I hope those people now see the point of building a squad. IMO Emery has done everything the right way in how he has kept his players and made them take part in this pre season.

    The TV money that Premier League has gotten, has partly come from regions with more of a star culture in football than football club culture. Meaning that if the Saudi league get enough top stars, the attractiveness of PL in parts of the world may fall, thus reducing the price of the TV rights. Maybe not the first year, but eventally.

    Hold on to him. Some Saudi club will overpay. Al Hilal har reportedly agreed to pay 55 mill euro for Ruben Neves, who has only one year left of his contract. We would easily fetch 30 mill for Coutinho from a Saudi club.

    If we gonna get rid of so many players, we will need at least four more players so that we can improve the squad. I think we should keep most of our players (a coupl of exceptions) and get 5-7 players in, of which 4 are of huge quality.

    And remember, our players are quite young. As opposed to the MON days, where we relied on quite a few older players that lost their legs toward the end of the season each year.

    How on earth did Lampard get the job? He did not show any signs that he was a capable manager in Everton nor during his last stay at Chelsea. And he did not succeed with Derby either.

    Well, appointing Smith is a ten times better decision than going for Solskjær, as some has suggested.

    My fear is that some of them are playing above their potential. And it will not last too long. Remember, we have not really splashed big cash on any player yet. Yes, we pay 20-25 mill pounds for some of them, but I think it would be remarkable if all of those turned out to be +40-50 mill players, which are the price for quality that will fight in Europe.

    By that I mean we should have a squad that put 3-4 of our starters on the bench. Then we would have a squad that can compete towards Europe.

    In terms of quality, it is small.

    One of the reasons I think Europe would be great, is that we would probably build an even bigger squad. And that is something we need. Maybe get 3-4 in and no one out without Europe. If we get to Europe, get 6-8 in and 1-2 out.

    If people want to learn about the concept of being greedy, the only thing you need to do is to support a team that has been struggling for ages and then get a perfect manager and a great streak of wins. We all get more greedy than the Wolf of Wall Street.

    I think the most important thing is that we should get 3-4 class players in and not get rid of anyone. Let's build a squad. Then Emery can see next January window if he needs to replace a couple of players in the squad with a couple of new signings.

    United have some absolutely words removed in their team. Hernandez should probably had three or four yellow cards in this match. I'm not a fan of Liverpool, but I really enjoyed this beating. And Salah is both a top class player and person!

    I think our squad is way too small at the moment. Can't even have enough players at the bench. We need to buy more quality players and not let anyone go, bar the odd one that may have had his time at our club. But the idea of selling three or more players and just buy three replacements will leave us with just as small squad. So we should get maybe 5 quality players in and only let one go. And then we can see who does not fit in after some months into next season. Building the squad is a vital task for Emery.

    Too bad McGinn failed when Bailey have him the goal on a silver plate. Did well today as a sub. Think this is is role. But don't think he will be happy with it. Will probably go to Germany, where he also can play European football.

    Did the job. I think him and Moreno can both play a big part of the team. Who gets to play depends on opponents. See no poing in selling him and buying another squad player for +20 mill.

    Why not buy that Guendouzi and keep our squad? That is the way we improve.

    There are some strange ideas floating around in here that if a player is expensive and not among our 7-8 best, we should just get rid of them. The idea of building a squad with players that cost a lot in order to achieve a better position than we have had the last +10 years, is just crazy to those with these ideas.

    Very happy for him. He is a great striker, but his move was the best for both him and Ollie. Both are doing better after the move.
