    Stoke

    Were they "excellent" today?
  3. He's won 6 titles in 3 countries since Wenger last won 1. If we are carrying on the Wenger comparison. As for challenging City, I agree Liverpool do have a chance but they are far too inconsistent. Man Utd have already overtaken them under Jose, no doubt aided by money. Like you said, we'll see but I think Man Utd will be much closer to Man City next year
  4. It was a throwaway comment, no need to be so serious.
  5. We wanted the manager out when we were finishing 6th in the Premier League!
  6. I much prefer Dark Side... to the Wall. Time is an amazing track
  7. I wonder what the average time it takes for someone's Wiki page to get updated when they die? When Avicci's death was announced the other day, it had only been reported by Variety/Billboard about 5 mins before and his Wiki page was already updated!
  8. I think its a matter of when, not if Man Utd win the title under Mourinho. It won't be as stylish as Pep but he'll do it as he always does. His record across 4 leagues is exceptional and it dwarfs Wenger's achievements.
  9. I don't think there will be many takers!
  10. Could we afford to buy him if we didn't go up?

    Wolves

I'd love it if he left Wolves. Would certainly give some Wolves fas a reality check. Some of the reactions to the move on Twitter have been laughable saying why would Neves leave to join a 'competitor' or Neves is too good for Liverpool! One good season and the arrogance sets in.
  12. Probably going to finish in their favourite position - 1 place above relegation zone. to be fair, Monk is a decent manager and they should be mid table next season
  13. Time to earn his corn and use his experience of 4 promotions. If we 'click' we'll get promoted. I just hope we don't have another spell of being shite like we tend to have every now and again!
  14. What do you mean by this? Companies don't disappear from there.. they can change names etc but they'll generally always be on there AFAIK Could he have been a sole trader?
  15. Lukaku has the first touch of a rapist.
  16. Takes a few episodes to get going but I thought it was fantastic Been a while since I watched it but during the 7 seasons I actually think it got better series by series.
  17. The CPS have had a number of cases thrown out recently whereby they have ignored evidence that would clear men in rape/sexual assault cases . While we don't know the facts in this, it does have a familiar sound to it. Very rarely is there any comeback on the person making the false claim.
  18. Good result and helps boost confidence.

    Arsenal

In his first ten years Wenger revolutionised not only Arsenal but English football. His transfers were usually spot on (Petit, Vieira, Overmars, Pires, Ljungberg, Henry, Fabregas, etc) and they were a joy to watch. The titanic battles with SAF's Man Utd were brilliant. Vieira v Keane - you don't see passion like that in today's insipid game. However it is a shame a lot of people will remember the last few years - his spineless teams and poor judgement on players. I'm not sure what happened. Arsenal were never bad but never really very good again. They've not been same since they left Highbury. They lost something when they moved to the Emirates, and so did Wenger. I'm old enough to recall his early days and that is how i'll remember Wenger: A visionary of the era.
