Our three worst defensive performances (in terms of goals conceded) since1995/6 when the premier league went down to 38 clubs have been 59 goals - 2010/11 55 goals - 2005/6 53 goals - 2011/12 So we are strongly at risk of setting a new and unwelcome record. I really didn't think things could get any worse defensive-wise than under Houllier but there you go. Defensively, the season has been woeful, but in recent weeks there have been signs that the back 4 are at turning it around. I mean, we gifted the champions a goal to win 1-0, around christmas time they wouldn't have needed a gift, they'd have pissed it.

Frustrating to lose a match to a "feck about" mistake like that.
