TrinityRoadSteps
Would be interesting to see the fans reaction to Fat Sam. Seeing as he is ex Newcastle and all

TrinityRoadSteps
Well I suppose if West Ham fans can call Bilic a club legend after playing 49 games for the club 20 years ago then Sunderland fans can do the same for Sam after 25 games 35 years ago!! useless
Apparently (according to Richard Keys) Sean Dyche, has turned down the chance to become their Manager.
SikhInTrinity
That's basically because Dyche had agreed to go to them in the summer, but when Advocaat changed his mind, they appointed him instead. Plus Dyche got a good chance with Burnley to go up.
HanoiVillan
Looks like they're contacting Nigel Pearson instead . . . we've still got a chance to get Big Sam on the blower!
Zatman
Nigel Pearson wont put up with any of the crap, he be like Di Canio version 2.Could imagine him storming on pitch and choking O'Shea or Cattermole after another hopeless performance
HanoiVillan
Yeah, can't imagine he'd sit well with the shop stewards up there. Is he actually a good manager? Got them promoted, but they had tons of money, spent 80% of last season being crap, then was brilliant for the last two months. I can't help but remember that Paul Lambert looked like a world-beater at the end of 2012/13.
villa89
He might be the man to sort out the rumoured drinking culture that exists amongst the players up there.
BG_Villa_Fan
he be like Di Canio version 2.How can they re-hire Di Canio when he's currently employed by Aston Villa?
Marka Ragnos Posted October 7, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted October 7, 2015 Looks like they're contacting Nigel Pearson instead . . . we've still got a chance to get Big Sam on the blower!I guess. Did Sam have to deal with a director of football at HAmmers?
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
There will always be a north-east club that can make us feel better about ourselves. This season we have two!
Czechlad
In talks with Sam to take over. I think we are screwed. When Tim gets fired at the end of November who are we going to pick up? The options are very limited. Hopefully Sam rejects them and waits a little bit so he can manage the club with the better claret and blue kits. Zatman
good I dont want him here. Dont understand why everybody has guaranteed his success. MON and Advocaat are 2 much better managers than him and they failed get these players playing wellAllardyce is just a poor mans MON
Czechlad
Cause who else could we possibly get? If we are in a position where we need a manager that will keep us up, who do we go for? Allardyce may not be the most attractive option, but he is probably the best out of what's available and I could see him keeping us up.
Zatman
I just dont want Allardyce at the club, he plays crap football, hates young players and signs his son/mate Kevin Nolan each time
useless
Sunderland are welcome to him, I think they'll still get relegated.
coda
Allardyce is like Pulis. He may well keep them up but they'll hate football as a result.
Popular Post Stevo985 Posted October 9, 2015 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Allardyce is like Pulis. He may well keep them up but they'll hate football as a result. No the won't. Not for a few seasons anyway.Like we would be, they'll be thrilled they're finally getting some results. They won't give a flying **** what the football looks like until they're consistently safe. Edited October 9, 2015 by Stevo985
Zatman
The last time I saw fear on these boards for an overhyped English manager halfway through the season was Arry goign to QPR and people automatically assumed we were relegated because of itI said before he is MON lite and he couldnt get anything out of these players. Jermaine Defoe better enjoy hoofball
