HanoiVillan
A draw in that match is definitely the best result for us. EDIT: 'That match' being Sunderland-Albion Edited October 10, 2015 by HanoiVillan
BOF Posted October 10, 2015 Moderator Share Posted October 10, 2015 On the basis that we ourselves need to get out of our own trouble, I want Sunderland to win that one. Anything that puts the Baggies in the mire is good. Come season's end, it won't have been that match that decided our fate so have at it.
VillaChris
Not for me.West Brom just aren't getting relegated under Pulis it just won't happen. They'll win enough of the games like beating us to be sure of staying up.Sunderland could go on a run though...draw v West Brom, beat Newcastle at home etc.

Arj Guy
It ain't pretty but you really have to respect what the likes of Pulis and Allardyce do
VillaChris
We can argue all day long about how much better squad someone like Leicester has but I honestly don't think Sunderland have a better squad than we do, maybe better goal poachers like Defoe and Fletcher but rest of squad looks woeful to me. They did get a bit lucky today with Shawcross seeing red. Something like that never seems to happen to us. When was the last time we played a team with 10 men for a decent portion of a game, probably the only way we'll win sometime before May.
Zatman
they are luckiest team in the league but credit to them for taking advantage dominated by Palace and keeper/Dann have a horrible mix-up and win 1-0 dominated by Newcastle then a horrible red for COloccini and they win 3-0 though still Newcastle hammered them 2nd half didnt see game today but another red card they take advantage of

A specialist in the situation we're in... Instead we throw the dice on an unknown from France. Not even funny how badly run our club is. It's a bit early to say that Big Sam can do a better job than Remi. Don't forget that in his first few games, they lost to West Brom, Southampton and 6-2 to Everton around the win against Newcastle (which they do every year). Hopefully Remi can get some results for us in the upcoming game, as we should really have beaten Watford.
Stevo985 Posted November 30, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted November 30, 2015 I back Remi. I like what I've seen so far and I think he'll do well for us, even if it ultimately doesn't keep us up this season. But, that being said, it amazes me that people were turning their nose up at Allardyce given the position we are/were in.
Zatman
Allardyce is a lazy short term appointment, guy has only ever brought through 1 youth player in his career and that his son Kevin Nolan. He buys cloggers and gives them ridiculous contracts which work but damage club long term We already had a manager like that

Allarydyce may just have kept us up whereas bringing in an inexperienced French man was signing our death warrant
PaulC
I just have the feeling that Garde will walk before the end of the season if there isn't an upturn in results.

Zatman
Dick Advocaat gave him his debut and he is being played through necessity at the moment. Allardyce has given him 1 start in 7 games so not sure he even trusts him
MrDuck
Sam's as near to a guarantee of mid-table security as you can get. He'd rarely be my first choice, but I have little doubt that if he'd come in instead of any of the last few managers, we wouldn't be the joke we are now.
