VillaChris
Aye, Pardew has always been a confrontational idiot, MOTD showed three other examples down the years. Decent manager though if you look beyond that. I'd happily take Lambert kung fu kicking people on the touchline if it meant we actually won a game 4-1 rather than the current malaise we're in.
KHV
It was also unprofessional of the Hull player to shove him first. People say Pardew should not stick his head in the face of a player which is true but on the other hand players should not be shoving opposition managers on the touchline either. It was a nothing incident and should be forgotten. The thing that annoyed me more was the MOTD pundits having a wankfest over the incident. I mean robbie savage getting on his moral high horse horse. What a tit that guy is, one of the dirtiest cheating little runts to ever play in the league Edited March 2, 2014 by KHV
Dr_Pangloss
Pardew is an inherently unlikeable word removed.

How does the opinion of a mediocre, half witt, who's contribution to the game was to run around like a mad dog, count? Really, I would rather hear from Ron Manager.lol

Stevo985 Posted March 2, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted March 2, 2014 So easy to piss people off. I support Lambert, but watching Newcastle compared to Villa, Pardew's team plays a more beautiful game. I'm sure if Lambert drops a headbutt on Bassong today you'll be in the Lambert thread singing his praises for being interesting then?

There are people on this very site who are happy to see some of our own players break a leg. That is what I think is a disgrace. Pardew barely touched him with his head. I think it is funny and stupid, but mostly the reaction of some people calling for jail time and worse...

The point I was making was if Lambert did it, you and many others would use it as a stick to beat him with (rightly so in this case in my opinion) You're implying in this thread that there's nothing in the headbutt. Whilst I don't agree, that's fair enough. And you're also implying that you'd like Lambert to be a bit more like that. Am I wrong? Yet we all know if that had been Lambert headbutting an opposition player there's no way you'd be complimenting him for it!

coda
This bloke got sacked. It's worse than Pardew's effort but I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually costs him his job.

Ponky
Didn't MON have a bit of an argy bargy with a Reading player at VP once? MON wouldn't give the ball back so the bloke shoved him out of the way and MON squared up to him. Nothing came of it though.
