Popular Post 8pints
They're going to score within the first five minutes and then try and coast through the game. With the last kick of the first half we'll equalise. They'll come out for the second half and absolutely batter us but nothing will fall for them. Half an hour to go and we'll nick a second on the counter. This will force them to go all out attack, they'll play amazing football, knocking it about beautifully, we won't be able to get a kick but still the ball won't drop in the net for them. They'll become increasingly frustrated and push further and further forward, they'll come as close as humanly possible without actually scoring. Then with ten minutes to go we'll get a third quickly followed by a fourth and it will end 4-1 to us. No one will be able to believe it, no one will think we have deserved it. Pundits and the media will be sent in to a tailspin and the game will be spoken about with shock and disbelief for many years. This is my prediction
sutherland
Just send up the under 19's and keep the under 21's fresh for sunderland!
Kwan
May be blasted for saying this, but I think we should pull a McLeish and put 11 defenders on this one. A 0-0 might not be glamorous but a point would be immense.

The Fun Factory
Its about time something random happened to Villa and wouldnt it be great if we won on Monday?! In the 95th minute would be nice with a flukey goal just to piss off sir redface. It aint going to happen, but its nice just to think about it,
KennyPowers
Bring back Sylla, play a tight 4-3-3 and we will be able to contain them and frustrate them for long periods. We'll still make a few chances, have to take one or two of them. If we concede early we could easily get hammered though.
Delphinho123
If we're not in the bottom three by the time this match is over, we'll stay up.

SikhInTrinity
Keep it tight and damage limitation but having said that United are not playing all that great, but like Liverpool, the movement of RVP and Hernandez will do us in this game.

vandaq
Well it is certainly crucial that we score on the chances we get. As long as we will do a great showing then I will be happy. Could turn ugly...
JoshVilla
They only managed 2 past Stoke, who were absolutely dreadful. We have threats in our squad who are goalscorers, which sets us apart from most of the other teams in this scrap. United are definitely going to withold possession, so really the best we can do is just feed the ball to whoever is upfront (probably the same that it's been the past couple of weeks) as quickly as possible.Outscoring them is our only hope, because we'll most likely get completely battered defensively. It's possible that we could steal something from this if the squad are fired up and not expecting to get turned over straight away. The likelihood is that we'll lose, but I wouldn't be hugely surprised if we didn't.
