I remember that well...got caught in the excitement of OGS myself too. OGS was so left-field candidate for the job and looks genuinely to be very top prospect in management but who knows, maybe he would've hit the ground running. I've never been so angry in all my 34 years of being an fan, sick of loosing week in week out and all we get from our manager is "you pick yourself up and you go again". samjp26 Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 I think Lambert being told he is safe 'even if we get relegated' is the wrong way to see it now, and it's definitely more so the fact that he was brought in based on his ability to get us back up after we are inevitably relegated. I think we've all seen it coming for a while that, rather than pumping more money in as a means to 'save us' from dropping to the Championship, Lerner has now opted to go with a destroy and rebuild operation. Very sad to see it us in the destroy process, I just really hope the rebuilding process goes to plan. All in all, since the Chelsea game it has been a horrible period, but I think sacking Lambert now would be a huge mistake as it is next year when he'll be earning his stay in my opinion. But I doubt he will get sacked, no matter what happens this season. It is simply to late I think for Lerner to consider the option of sacking him. Specially with the rumors of him being safe if they are relegated. Either way, stuff needs to happen quick. Still waiting on that miracle signing, well three miracle signings to be exact.
