He [Trump] lost the state by 10 points in 2020, which is about what you would have expected based on recent trends. Apparently the ad was targeted at Dem-registered voters, but still, it's such a stupid risk to take, very much 'too clever by half' and it fits with the McAuliffe campaign, had nothing to say about him and only wanted to talk about Trump. Mental that getting this done is so hard given the state of basic infrastructure over here. An infrastructure bill was one of his big things, but could never get it out of the WH due to the Russia, Russia bs and familiar splintering of "his" party and then covid hit.
