Villastine
Are people seriously questioning RL's financial commitment to this club. Ffs you can rightly criticise the way the money was spent over the years but to question the level of money he has pumped into Villa since his takover is outrageous. This is something all villa fans with a modicum of intelligence should be able to agree on.
Folski
Sky Sports understands Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton could be set for a move to Spanish side Real Mallorca on loan. I'd imagine he would get a tonne of red cards in La Liga.

Surely if Warnock and Hutton both go out then we should be able to get someone in.

Bearing in mind that the money he has put into the club has been in the form of loans, with interest. He hasn't just been throwing money at us in some kind of goodwill gesture. Over 50% has been equity investment, the rest has been shareholder loans with interest lower than than libor. This is a huge level og GOODWILL. If he operated like other owners our debt would be a massive to commercial banks. We'd be another Leeds

This is a huge level og GOODWILL. If he operated like other owners our debt would be a massive to commercial banks. We'd be another Leeds We'll see how much goodwill he has actually sent our way if/when he ever leaves us. Without looking into it thoroughly, I'd be happy to assume that any funds from equity investment would have gone towards capital investments such as the pub etc that will have improved the overall value of the club, and hence this will be 'realised' when it comes to him selling us off. As I say, we're not a charity, he isn't just chucking money at us to keep us fans happy. Which is fine, but as the owner of our football club, we're quite entitled to question if he's the man for the job.

omariqy
It shows you how badly run our club is when they cut spending because of the wages offered to players by MON (apparently). Then they give big contracts to Given, Hutton, Nzogbia, Ireland and Gabby. Shows you what PF knows about football. Tbh PL must've come in and thought wtf you're paying Gabby £55k pw??? Are you serious Randy?

Mantis
If they think Dunne isn't going to be able to play much for the rest of the season then it would be suicide to not buy another CB. Baker is constantly injured and Vlaar's only just come back from a long lay-off. We don't want to be stuck with Clark and Herd at CB again.
