Just looking at the table now, and you'd wonder how much better off we would be if we even drew those must win games in January, against Newcastle, Wigan & Southampton.

Hopefully Utd will have already won the league when we play them and likewise Chelsea secured a CL spot. Fulham should be on the beach aswell as Norwich .

United ALWAYS have something to play for. They would love to win the league (or the double) with 100 points. Remember how they demolished Blackpool on the final day of the 2010-11 season, when United already had the title in the bag and a draw would have kept Blackpool up? I don't see us getting anything off of them, or Chelsea.

Yeah I also recall they lost at home to west ham on the last day , tevez hmmmmm

it's incredible the  potential damage those 3 games might still hold for the club. if we'd even beaten wigan, we'd be safe as we'd be on 33 and they'd be on 24 which is just too much of a gap

Agreed. My god what a disastrous time that was.  I still dont think we have fully recovered from it confidence wise.

And if my auntie had a cock she would be my uncle.  ;)

It's pointless worrying about the "if only" moments.  Every club in the league will have several "if only" moments every season.

I'm confused too, what in the number in brackets if not potential position? We'd be 14th.

I just copied it directly from premierleague.com its the position of the club in the previous game week. Was a wee bit lazy when posting it. :)

38 games in a season, not a single team can blame luck, unluck or agendas - it's all even in the end. Like a round of golf, I can have a brilliant start and play way better than my handicap up until the 9th, but I am always pulled back on the last 9 when I get complacent.

Sure one can blame insane decisions and disallowed goals in the 90th minute in a few games, but seldom are the calls in our favour counted into that equation. What about Bosingwa's free-kick last week when we scored a few minutes later right before the first half was whistled off? At 0-2 HT I am pretty sure we wouldn' have won that match at all.

Anyways, I have been down and out with regards to our chances this season - but now - I do not think we are amongst the three worst teams in the league and that is usually a good sign. We were though, for a long time we were the absolute worst. Luckily Lambert has changed formations and a few players have stepped up. May it continue!

YES! I would love it, love it, if they got relegated!

^ The free kick shouldn't have been even taken from where he took it.

Correct, moved it 10 yards for a better angle, cheating bastards

They moved every **** free kick and the ref let them, piss poor tactics and officiating
