SikhInTrinity
Gardening leave will never happen it is not in the interests of Norwich.
irreverentad
Pat Murphy mentions potential garden leave could come into into the equation. Good old Pat being his usual positive self about Villa. Gardening leave???? I bet Delia keeps her garden in good shape! :winkold:
Shillzz
If (IF!) Lerner pulls this one off, then that would bring his 'kudos level' back to neutral for me. A few weeks ago I wanted him gone, along with Mcleish. But, if he signs Lamber then I'll wipe the slate clean with Randy, which i'm sure he'll be relieved about. JulieB
Let's face it, Doris the tea lady would have been a massive improvement from McLeish. And she is still the third option. Retweet cos it made me chuckle.

Mantis
I just hope he doesn't bring Holt...Yes. That is the one true thing I'm worried about, but didn't Holt have a bust-up with Lambert, hence the transfer request?
Ginko
Are we to assume that it's over and that he has signed for us? This seems unusually quick for us...

But if those rumours about a clause to speak to Premier League teams is true, then they negated on it. So surely no grounds for Gardening leave. Can't believe he won't be backed financially... don't think he'd be interested if there wasn't cash to spend and build his own team with.
Daniel
I just hope he doesn't bring Holt... Why do people keep saying this? 17 goals last season was it? How many goals did our highest scorer have?

Left back, right back, defensive midfielder, few wingers, a striker, back up keeper, another midfielder for the middle.

Totally (if true), its just Pat seeing everything negative about Villa as usual. Always been the same with him.

Because 1. he'd be the new Heskey and 2. It shows a complete lack of imagination and forward-thinking on the part of the new manager
