No matter what manager they get in the summer, they are going to have the same problem Potter had... too many players. How on earth are they going to trim that squad to a manageable number? A couple of humiliating defeats and I would not be surprised at all. Losing to Bournemouth, getting hammered by Arsenal, whatever. Can easily see it. I was listening to the football ramble last night and the one comment about them was they’re a clown car, but they used to be a clown car made by Mercedes. This analogy was further finessed with them saying that the point of a clown car is humorously having loads of people getting out of it. Makes them less likely to fall foul of FFP. On the other hand.. Thankfully, its going to piss off their new signings, and the old contract players will be just as pisssed off because they've either been dropped or are finding themselves not qualifying for Europe thanks largely to the arrival of the 30 new players. The old players won't be leaving in a hurry because they'll be earning way more than they'd get elsewhere. There's going to be some serious pay discrepancies that will drive a lot of resentment in that squad.
