kurtsimonw
We'd better make sure we beat them at Goodison, keep them as far away as possible.
PompeyVillan
That was a bad performance, really limp. I only watched the second half, but they were totally out fought.
zippy178
I can see the table beginning to open up at the top end soon, I hope we end up going with that group.
Artetasgirl Posted November 24, 2008 Visiting Supporter Share Posted November 24, 2008 Well that was gash. Worst I've seen us play in ages, no desire, no fight - nothing. Only player who can really hold there head up is Howard, the west were just absymal. Joke of a performance, and another reason why we won't qualify for Europe again. Qwpzxjor1
I guess your undefeated streak had to come to an end some time - but I'm sure you didn't want it to go with a performance like that. Howard was fantastic, otherwise you could have been looking at 4 or 5 goals tonight. Great result for us certainly. Keeps a bit of distance between us and puts a bit more pressure on Spurs to slide back down. Spurs away this weekend.. I have no idea who I want to win that :S I can't stand Spurs but I still think Everton are our major threat to challenge Arsenal. I suppose I'll be hoping for a draw. Artetasgirl Posted November 25, 2008 Visiting Supporter Share Posted November 25, 2008 Well I have just heard the worser news than the loss. James Vaughan now out for 3-6 months. The lad will be broken, absolutely broken. He has the worst possible look and he is such a talented lad. I don't care about the result now, I'm just gutted for him..
chrissmith921
He's ALWAYS injured that lad. Whats he done this time?
Condimentalist
Poor bastard, feel for him.
Artetasgirl Posted November 25, 2008 Visiting Supporter Share Posted November 25, 2008 Knee ligaments in training I think. Not the same near he has had lots of trouble with - luckily for him. He's been unlucky though, some of them were just freak injuries like the torn artery and the dislocated shoulder. Apparently the originally knee injury he got when he was 17-18 was pretty bad though and thats one he went to see Steadman about and apparently he said the wya Vaughan plays, i.e. runs about a lot, chasing down and stuff, he will probably only play til he is 30 or so. I'm just gutted for him.
Anthony Posted November 25, 2008 VT Supporter Share Posted November 25, 2008 Didn't Saha pick up a knock too? Peas in a pod him and Vaughan.
Artetasgirl Posted November 25, 2008 Visiting Supporter Share Posted November 25, 2008 Yeah he looked to be limping, think that was more precautionary than anything.
TrentVilla Posted November 25, 2008 Moderator Share Posted November 25, 2008 Bad result for Everton, great result for Wigan and Villa.
David-Copenhagen
Much as I think Everton is our main rival for 4'th and 5'th (with Arsenal) - I still hope you beat Spurs next week. I am sorry but Spurs fans a just so deluded it is untrue and I quite like them to be in the bottom half.
ThunderPower_14
I'd rather a Spurs/Everton draw. And a crushing Arsenal loss. And ofcourse, a Villa win.
VillaChris
Means more Anichebe now. :winkold: I actually think Moyes coudl do a lot worse than go back to 4-5-1 with maybe Saha if he's fit upfront on his own as Yak's been shite this season and Cahill dosen't function aswell in a central midfield two. Pelle
Great result for us. Sorry, AG, but I'm happy about this. Can you beat Spuds but still get no points? :?
Qwpzxjor1
Look on the bright side AG - Pienaar isn't far from returning. I imagine he will have a similar impact to Everton as Petrov's return did for us.
TrentVilla Posted November 25, 2008 Moderator Share Posted November 25, 2008 Everton v Spurs. A draw would be nice.
