No, he is awful,

His touch is pathetic, running with the ball is laughable, his crossing is piss poor, his decision making in the final third takes an eternity, his decision making in the final third is crap, he gets sucked into the middle of the pitch time and time again, he let's runners get goalside, he doesn't see over his shoulder, he gets flummoxed by a simple one two, he lunges in.

He was rubbish in his first season, he was rubbish for Mallorca, rubbish for Bolton and rubbish for Forest.

There is a reason no other team took him on, there is a reason is here.

Our expectations really have dropped because he isn't even half the player that was vilified in his first season.

Yes I agree with most of that. He is an awful footballer. Lowton lacked pace but at least he used his head and could play.

He may put a shift in, but he is simply not good enough for the PL. Why the **** didn't we sign a right back?!

Maybe we should be asking why we didn't sign a right winger instead of relying on a defender for our attacking options.

Some of the comments on this site are hilarious and show how little people watch the team and concentrate on what's happening on the ball.

Yes his dribbling is upright, passing adequate, crossing okay and first touch sketchy but he is our most consistent player who actually gets us forward.

He runs past players with his upright action, he passes to free players and tries 'one two's', he is always ready to be in a crossing position and willing to put the ball in and though he controls the ball like a defender he plays his role like a full back.

He comes forward with the ball, he drives us on, he overlaps, he plays off players, he beats the opposition, he tracks back, he still isn't slow and he is extremely professional. He's arguably the most consistently creative player we have.
We are a relegation team and he's a mid-table player, quite simply put, he's above us or at the very least, our level.

That's ridiculous . Which PL starting 11's would he get into? Sunderland and maybe Bournemouth. Midtable player? Maybe a midtable championship player. If Hutton is too good for us, we really are one of the worst PL teams ever

Been getting a lot of stick on here lately, but I'm personally giving the guy credit for fighting for the cause and throwing himself in front of the ball.

Always has his arms up wanting the ball on the attack as well.

Thought he did a good job today.

His positioning was hopeless at the start, how many times at the start were Saints getting in behind him?

I actually thought Bacuna did a really good job at LB today bar one occasion in the second half when Mane easily got past him.

I'd rather him at RB.
