He is only 5. No other symptoms at all but he has to think about going up stairs now. Blood test at Vet, nothing found. Blood test at specialist lab, tested for as much as possible, nothing found except a bit anemic which is odd for his age. Echo at 10.00 am tomorrow. Properly struggling today, I have got a pain in my tummy. I am **** petrified. Good luck tomorrow, hope your dog makes a full recovery and that the specialists find out what is causing the instability.

Biopsy tomorrow (Lymph) as they can't find anything obvious. He is getting a bit worse every day. I have never been so upset and sad in my life, I am not crying but I have tears falling on and off all day. It's weird as ****. Apart from family he is all I have got in Holland. I lost my job last week so at least I will be home for a month or so with him. I have him insured for 20k, I pay 20% of anything, lets see what they say.

Popular Post darrenm
Had our Serbian rescue about 5 months now. She's still really nervous and still doesn't trust me, unless we're both on the sofa where we're best friends. We couldn't get a lead anywhere near her. Every time resulted in her being so terrified she would wee and poo herself and one time started snapping. We had a hol booked for us all as our first dog holiday and there was no way we could take her so the rescue charity found a fosterer to have her for a couple of weeks to try and get through to her and break the negative rut she was in. We've got a dog psychologist we pay £100 a session to and he said leave well alone, give her space and let her find her confidence while some anti anxiety meds start to work. After 2 days with the fosterer she was on a lead and walking. Now she's back we've been able to carry on walking her. It turns out she just needs strong direction. We've always been confident with her just not pushed it far enough past her guard. After a solid week of walks morning and evening we'll try the car this weekend and take her to the park. Hopefully we're on the right track now.

Absolutely bloody heartbreaking seeing our beloved pets get an illness and/or old. One of the family as they say. 1

Properly struggling today, I have got a pain in my tummy. I am **** petrified. It's been a bit of a journey. They couldn't find anything in any of the tests above so they refereed him to the big animal hospital in Amsterdam. - They took more blood / urine / - poo (3 days in row tiny sample) and sent it off for mega test for all know markers, parasites and anything else they could think off. - During this time he was getting weaker and weaker. (Lost 10% weight but eating) - Last Friday(17th sep) he could not / would not get out of bed. Alarm bells...Called the Doctor at the big hospital (amsterdam) Now, this is where it gets amazing......He had an appointment arranged for the Tuesday 21 sep so this is 3 days before that) - Got an emergency appointment same day. I had to lift him in the car. Really not good. - The Doctor got him, put him on a drip, checked blood results and all the lab stuff whilst on drip. - They found it !!!! Cortisone count = 0 (Zero) so in theory unless he could produce a bit himself then really all bad. - They put a new mega drip with multi vits / Cortisone etc. Everything he needed as they know what to do now. - Gave him that. - Took him home. - Within 3 to 4 hours, mentally back to normal and looking good, smiling and that, - 6 hours 80% back. (It works mega fast and they gave him the max dose possible at hopital,/ - 2 days later, he went for a swim, chasing the cats and fighting me . Lazarus attention seeking lunatic he is. 90% back to normal now, can walk 2 kms easy and building it up. Its called Addisons Disease and is really hard to pin down as all dogs have different symptoms. https://diabetesindogs.fandom.com/wiki/Addison's_disease It was close but what a hospital. Amazing.

I get as much out of it as he does, I genuinely don't know what I would have done if it had gone wrong, it was a tough few weeks. I had something in my eyes for 2 days , not crying but tears all the time. I stayed in It was difficult in the hospital last week when he was really ill and scared, becasue of Covid I could not go with him. I will try to never take things for granted now.
Rugeley Villa
Our eldest French Bulldog has had to go to an out of hours vet this morning. He managed to get hold of the sister in laws smokes the other day(Monday) Since Tuesday/Wednesday he’s been throwing up quite a bit . Perfectly fine within himself but throwing up. This morning he’s taken a decline. Won’t eat or drink and very lethargic and won’t move much. Obviously dehydration is kicking in which is dangerous. Can’t risk waiting until tomorrow to see local vet , so had to bite the bullet and get him in to out of hours up Stoke . Hopefully they will give him antibiotics and he’ll perk up in a day or two . Always a scary time when they are poorly with them being such an important part of most families that have dogs.
Rugeley Villa
Dog is fine . Slight dehydration and Inflamed stomach . Diagnosed it as gastro summat or other . Anti sickness tablets and a course of antibiotics and he should be fine. £180 less in the bank mind . In all honesty that’s not too bad , I thought it would be more. More importantly dog is fine.
