Stevo985 Posted December 4, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted December 4, 2010 I'm confused. If I ansewr no does that mean I want him out? I don't think he's had a good month, but I don't want him out by any stretch. What option do i vote?
Cracker1234
Is this for December or November? It's only the 4th of December and we've only played one game this month.
markavfc40
Its for November and I believe the poll is based around those results not whether you want the manager sacked or not.
bickster Posted December 4, 2010 Moderator Share Posted December 4, 2010 I voted No, this doesn't mean I want Houllier sacked, it means I think he's dropped some huge clangers in the preceding month
Cracker1234
In November we had 2 draws 1 win and 2 losses, so why is it showing 3 losses? SHA game was on the 1st of December?
Mantis
Yes. He's not done much wrong in my eyes and while results haven't been good he's been severely hampered by injury.
PompeyVillan
No, whichever way you look at things, we're doing terribly. I don't think it is good enough, but I understand that there are circumstances beyond anyone's control that are affecting results at the moment. Mitigating circumstances or not, it's not good enough. DiegoD
November was a very poor month for us, I voted no. I am hoping that we can bounce back a bit this December but we have some tough fixtures so i'm not expecting too much. January will be a big month because he'll have a chance to sign a couple of players and we'll truly get to see how he plans on building and developing his team. spoonman
GH needs to stop playing Friedel. He needs to be benched, this record of his is retarded. He fumbles and flaps and I am sick to death of an opponent goal followed by a shot of a baffled friedel who just shrugs.
dudevillaisnice
Yes. He's not done much wrong in my eyes and while results haven't been good he's been severely hampered by injury. This imo of course and what DiegoD said.
thejoker
It's not been great so far, but the injuries are enough for me to give Houllier the benefit of any doubt.
regular_john
Yeah, I don't think he's really done anything wrong, he's not dropped any significant tactical clangers and we're playing excellent football, just not getting the results. I don't think it's fair to judge him in any way till we at least have our senior players back and fit, even then he should really be given till next summer to bring in his own players and build his own squad. I think getting Pires on a free was a good move though.

AVFC-Prideofbrum
I voted no for the month, we haven't had a good month. Still firmly believe a manager needs time but results of course must improve.
ryanvilla_1994
No, Simply because the results haven't been good enough
Stevo985 Posted December 4, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted December 4, 2010 Well I voted "no", but I absolutely do not want him sacked.
paulanddonya
I accept he has injuries, so I take this into account - but I'd still only say 40% I think there are certain things he could have sorted, and hasn't 40% - thus no I am not happy
redrum
I voted no for the month, we haven't had a good month. Still firmly believe a manager needs time but results of course must improve. Do people really think that with time Gerrard Houllier is going to turn Villa into a winning team? We shouldn't be in this situation, doing the politically correct thing in giving him 'time' to see if he can miraculously turn into a good manager. He should never have been hired in the first place.
