I may, but thats down to the Villa Personally, I thought the black one was lovely this year, first time in a long time I would have thought of buying the away shirt - but I didn't buy it. You can put faults at all makes. Tell you what, anyone who is "a bit rotund" better hope we dont have LCS - the sites down VP wille be hilarious. I've bought Villa shirts since about 85 - apart from the Henson one - which was truly truly god damn awful, the rest are much of a muchness, with a slight variation - whether it was Diadora, Hummel, Nike or others. One thing I will say for Nike though - the quality is better. I have last seasons and the season befores. I wear last seasons to every game, and the older one at least once a week - and they both look brand new still. Been a few in the past (especially the deck chair one) that was reday for the bin within about 6 weeks !

To be honest I can't see what difference it makes as to who make it. As long as it has claret body, blue sleeves and white shorts - it could be made by Primark for all I care. (oh, and preferably a white away kit as well)

A game totally made into a lottery because of conditions. You only have to look at the other scores. Bad poits - we never played the condition. As other results and all 4 goals proved, we should have shot on site, put crosses into the area for the ball to swerve - we hardly did it, instead atempting to play tippy tappy - which was never going to work in those conditions. Gabby and Ash - they are becoming a total and utter waste of space - they are totally ineffective at the minute. They either need to improve of be shipped out. Good points - you can see right in front of you the improvements we are making. I know the tble don't say it, but I feel we are now out of the relegation battle, and within the next few weeks will be around 9th, and can start looking at getting 7th which should get us Europa. Downing. Thought he has struggled of late, but yesterday worked his socks off again. All our good play came through him. Makoun - good and bad. Good - one touch play is second to none. However, he needs to learn composure. Many times yesterday he put us into trouble by trying a one touch pass near our own area. However, looked good and promosing for future Bad - probaby his worst game so far, but Walker still looks class - Spurs will never sell him !.

We were beaten by the team that are going to be chamoions, at their place. Oh well, lots of goods, some bads Goods were obviously Bent and Makoun Bads were Petrov and Young (He is NOT a forward and we are wasting our season by putting him there) ANother bad in a wierd way is Friedal - we are in the Bozzie situation - its gonna take a hell of a lot to replace him. Only good things is, most the other teams in the league are in the same position !. Defence werent great, but you gotta consider they are up against Giggs, Rooney, Nani and Berbatov - so not gonna be critical 9 points out of 9 and we are well on our way. Personally, I'd drop Downing or Albrighton, put Ash on wing, and put who-ever he wants up front - but I would have Gabby. I actually think this could be a good result come Saturday as I think we will try and avenge it

May sound defeatest this, but I'd take the 3-1 now. Its no disgrace, they are unbeaten and won all but one at home for a reason - 3-1. we can get out, and start preparing on the games we can win. Now Arsenal and Chelsea are winning, it will be as you were for the clubs around us. I'm chuffed to bits for Bent - he will be a hero for us there is no doubt. From what I am listening to , we aint played bad, they are just better. Blow the whistle and bring on Fulham -

Carlo Ancelotti 31.1.11 Forwards are there to score, defenders to defend, and goalkeepers to save. So why the hell are we intent on playing Young up front !. 3 yrs - 1 goal from open play - its disgusting !. One of two things - either drop him, or, drop Downing / Albrighton and put him on the wing and get Gabby or Fonz up there. Other things Why Petrov ? - what the hell has NRC got to do to get a run of games. Bit of a coincidence our upturn has come when NRC has played. N ot going to really have a go at defence, sometimes you are just up against better players. Always knew we;d lose this, worry is the other scores ! -

Lets face it - anything out of this game will be like a lottery win. We are expecting to lose, everyone expects us to lose. if we do, no concern, I'd expect Arsenal to lose at Old Trafford. Lets give it our all, fight for our lives, and you never know as last season proved, but, in reality, lets get it out the way and move on. GoThe good thing is, everyone around us have hard games over the next few days as well. Everton play Arsenal, Liverpool play Chelsea etc..etc... So come Sunday, I think it will be a bit "as you are" and maybe we will have climbed a place or two. Result - 0-2 -
Can I just point something out here. I can remember, what, about 1993 or something, Whte Hart Lane, Dwight Played, maybe even his full debut, I can't remember. He sat on the ball virtually on the goal-line and rolled it over. At the end of the match my mate said "He ain't no Andy Gray is he !" Fonz is young - the youngest of all our young - and he has proved he can score goals - its as simple as that. He isn't nowhere near the finished article - but he has shown he is a natural goalscorer - with feet and head. Fair play to the kid, I reckon he'll get 15 goals in a season within the next 3 years !

NRC--------------------Makoun Passes 48--------------Passes 32 Successful 46----------Successful 21 Interceptions 2--------Interceptions 0 Tackles 5---------------Tackles 4 Won 1------------------Won 2 Clearances 2--------- Clearances 0 Fouls commited 3-----Fouls commited 2 Fouls won 1------------Fouls won 1 Taken from match thread Very interesting isn't it ! God sake, I am NOT having a go at the guy - he needs time to settle. All I am saying is , it wasnt as great a debut as some are making out !
-
Er = where have I said that ? What I said is I think it will be next season before we can really judge the bloke. I am just homoured that people are saying he was great last night , when, if the guy was white and had Downing wrote on his back, people would have been slagging him off !. Now, obviously there are reasons - he hasn't played in this league. In fact, he hasn't played at all for nearly a month, he only trained once, he doesn't speak the language, he doesn't know anyone. So I aint having a go. But I ain't saying "he was great" for the sake of it. As debuts go, it was disappointing, but hopefully, it will get better.
-
Look dont get me wrong here, given time I hope he is a great player, all I am doing is not going over the top on last night Yes he did give the ball away a lot, I think someone has posted the stats, something like 45 passes, only 21 of them successful. He was fine for 20 mins, then he totally drained, the booking was a result of that (the guy went past him as if he was walking, and he pulled him back) , he then struggled until half time, then was taken off very shortly afterwards. If you can rate that above a 4 - you're having a laugh. Future - hopefully, but don't make out he was great last night, because he wasn;t
-
I think last night proved people just looked at Wiki and Youtube and then posted they knew all about this guy. I'd never heard of him until 2 weeks ago, but having listened to all and sundrie on here, thought he was Patrick viera mk 2 What he actually is , is hopefully a younger and better version of Petrov (once he settles). Oh, and a lot smaller too !. To be honest, I would give him a 3 or 4 last night, gave the ball away lots, off pace lots - but, you expect that. So by next season we will see. But he certainly wont be the saviour for this one as some people were saying.

Can't fathom it. It's bloody obvious to me. Gabby up front and Young on wing or Albrighton on wing Whatever - playing Gabby on the wing just isn't working, nor is Ashley Young up front, as I keep saying - one goal from open play in 3 yrs ! Flummexed why we keep persisting with it, coz if he changed it - we would be challenging for Europe by Mid-Feb - if he don't we will forever be 12th-17th -

V Happy with team - Baker I have just said on transfer thread, I think he wants a look at him to see if we need a LB now, or whether this boy can cover for the rest of season. Obviously we wont know about Makoun until after this, but on paper, him and NRC seem the perfect fit - both can hold, or go box to box and both can win the ball (apparently). Only bit I want is Young on wing, and Gabby up front, but we know that won't happen. Maybe I am too confident, but I reckon a 3-0 win with another Bent goal , possible a penalty
