WooJung
The fact is that we can't go much far with these rubbish defenders... Can Lichaj possibly be worse than L.Young?
claretman
Clark is having a complete nightmare, Downing needs to grow a pair of balls, Luke Young is away with the fairies, Dunne just does not command like a captain and burly CH should, Collins is slow, Warnock looks shot of confidence, Carew cannot play that role without supporting players The squad looks threadbare and thin This. R.I.C.O.
If the team look as jaded as this in November, christ knows how bad things will be come April/May.
AVFC_Hitz
A totally inept performance from a side that looks lacklustre at best. Why aren't we pushing up when we need to? Houllier really needs to sort out where to put Pires and Young as they can't seem to link up effectively. We aren't running at them. Dunne looks and is playing like a Massey-Ferguson. The only player I feel sorry for at the moment is Friedal.
villianusa
Was a clear handball but it would have flattered to decieve. It is men against boys and sadly we are getting a lesson. We have nothing going foward with Carew and Pires and the ball keeps coming back. Arsenals passing and pressing is way better than ours and it could get really bad if changes aren't made at half time. If Young is dictating he plays on the left it is wrong; if GH is playing him on the left it his wrong. Downing has played his best on the left this season and he is being restricted on the right. Clark and Bannan, I feel sorry for them both. Neither are having a good game and are getting shown up big time. Defense has been pretty bad but Young is having his worst game of the season. Always love watching the Villa so bring on the second half. Let's hope Arsenal self-destruct like last week but I doubt it.

Lombardo
Carew has been useless. How many times has Downing got into a position to cross only for noone to be in the box. We need to put pressure on their midfield and defense... Think its too late though. Can't see them losing this now. Don't know where our goal is going to come from either if Carew stays on the pitch. He has lost all skill and energy he had 2 years ago.

jonno_2004
I haven't really been impressed with Pires.. maybe its the PR machine not having its effect on me.. but he's off the pace which is obvious given his age.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Bannan has been poor. Carew dire. Expected though. Collins poor. Young terrible. Pires just don't look match ready, especially not against fast paced Arsenal team Downing, Clark, Dunne, Young have been the brighter sparks IMO, but even that bright spark is very faded. villianusa
Shows what a good job Martin was doing with us. With the same side I'm sure he would have done just as well. :? Why is it always about the managers; I'm sure GH told Young to run in front of Collins and left the Ruski in.

However we are in a different position at the moment and circumstances have made it difficult. This is dire but we will be okay, give a manager time. shambles
Feel very sorry for Houllier. He's walked into a total mess of a club (playing wise). Are you having a laugh? No. Lets look at it logically. We lost our best player over the summer, replacing him with a much inferior model in the process. This was our only summer activity. Our manager then resigned just before the season started to be replaced by the reserve manager who while being a nice guy was pretty much out of his depth. We have an error prone defence, a strike force that couldn't score in a brothel, a ridiculous injury list, and one of the least intimidating midfields in the premiership. How the hell can anyone blame Houllier for the current predicament?
