It's only my opinion, but I think the moderators need to back off and stop stifling debate, wit, humour and creativity and seemingly getting some sort of kick out of locking threads for very little reason. I'm aware that you want to keep the forum tidy, but I feel it's over the top and all the fun has gone out of the place as far as I'm concerned. It's a shame. This used to be such a lively forum with so many characters, but all we've got now is the same band of faceless dreary regulars bickering about the same bollocks with a moderator and his cursor hovering over the lock button just waiting and hoping to exert some cyber authority. Limpid, I expect you to side with your moderators because you have to to maintain credibility and a sense of order, but deep down, we both know I'm right. Fair play to the bloke, the fact that he's had a privileged upbringing makes him more credible IMO. It's not like he's a champagne socialist, he's actually stuck it to the establishment, got peoples backs up, and got a criminal record for it. He's made a sacrifice, and that's what it's all about.

I think we should get Peter North in as our attacking coach. He knows all about thrust and penetration. Also seems to have some stamina from what I've seen. He's a prolific finisher, too. 8)

You can stand on the side of the pitch and shout about attacking as much as you want, but if you're not coaching it into the players during the week it's an irrelevance. Alex Ferguson doesn't just turn up with the teamsheet and meet the squad at Old Trafford on a Saturday and tell them to attack and run rings around their opponents. The hard work is done on the training ground. Passing drills, movement, set pieces, tactics, fitness. It's all done behind the scenes. Or not, it would appear in our case.

Liverpool knew we were going to sit back and pressed high up the pitch and took alot of risks. They were closing us down in our own area and giving us no time on the ball, and when your whole team is within 10 yards of your 18 yard box and is not looking to go forward or move into space, you can't stretch the play and it becomes too tight and therefore easier for the opposition to close you down and either intercept the ball or force an error. Realistically, we should have been buried today and a decent team with a bit of confidence would have stuck at least 2 or 3 past us. As it is, McGimp can ring Lerner later and boast about getting a point at Anfield. The fact that Liverpool only have 9 points in the whole of 2012 should not be forgotten. Given pulled off a couple of super saves, they should have had a penalty and they hit the woodwork. It could have been so different, and I'd be gutted to be a Liverpool fan after dominating a game like that and not winning it.
