  1. It's only my opinion, but I think the moderators need to back off and stop stifling debate, wit, humour and creativity and seemingly getting some sort of kick out of locking threads for very little reason. I'm aware that you want to keep the forum tidy, but I feel it's over the top and all the fun has gone out of the place as far as I'm concerned. It's a shame. This used to be such a lively forum with so many characters, but all we've got now is the same band of faceless dreary regulars bickering about the same bollocks with a moderator and his cursor hovering over the lock button just waiting and hoping to exert some cyber authority. Limpid, I expect you to side with your moderators because you have to to maintain credibility and a sense of order, but deep down, we both know I'm right. To the rest of the forum: It's been a pleasure. Take care of yourselves, and each other. Word to your mother, and up the Villa. Peace out. 8) PS- Gabby15 says hi, and wishes himself to be remembered to Rob.
  2. What a strange post. You're using players not being really successful in the first team (which K-Mac is not responsible for) as a stick to beat him with. :? For the record, I wouldn't mind K-Mac coming in. He's earned his chance for me.
  3. I still can't get my head round this Alex Ferguson recommendation thing. Surely anyone with any common sense knows that whatever Fergie does or says is first and foremost in the interest of looking after Manchester United, not Aston Villa.
  4. To angry to know where to begin, so I'll just repost this image.
  5. The decision has been made. The season ticket open event at Villa Park scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed until 'later in the summer'. Check the OS for details.
  6. Pathetic, spineless team selection again from McLeish. We could ship 10 goals and not go down and we're playing Norwich who have nothing to lose or gain. And we start with 7 defenders. Yes, we only dislike him because he was SHA's manager.
  7. I'm scared shitless in case Randy actually keeps 'him' on. Imagine the damage he could do by being given a serious amount of money and spending it all on Alan Hutton caliber players. It could wreck us for years to come. Look what he did when SHA gave him money. He spent over £36,000,000 over 2 seasons and they still got relegated. Links to his SHA transfers here: click
  8. He'll replace him with Roger Johnson. Guaranteed.
  9. Just heard the post match interview on WM. He's making plans for next season. We're doooooomed.
  10. I'd take going down to the 2nd division, definitely. I'd go down on Margaret Thatcher if I thought it'd get rid of Eck and aid us into getting a younger more maverick type manager with some ideas about how to build a future that doesn't involve camping in your own 18 yard box.
  11. He claims he's a villa fan, he has a voice on national radio and chooses to support Mcleish and make us sound like clearings in the woods. Even today he said "if Mcleish wins 10 games in a row, villa fans will say where's the 11th?" He constantly backs up the idea that we only don't like him because of the blues connection. The guy is a clearing in the woods. Why on earth would you choose to listen to a tool like Stan Collymore. The bloke is a complete tool and spends most of his time talking out of his arse. If he was such a **** Villa fan, he should have put a bit more into playing for us. John Gregory talks in his autobiography how a succession of managers tried to help him (not just at Villa). The club paid for him to spend most of a season in the priory clinic to sort himself out. The day after the season finished he checked himself out and buggered off on holiday. The day I take him seriously on anything to do with Aston Villa will be the day I need sectioning.
  12. Sure there was more than that. They must be doing the Arsenal trick of counting season ticket holders whether they are there or not. Top tier of the Trinity was half empty, as was nearly all the wings of all the stands and a fair bit of the lower and upper Holte. Oh yeah, they may as well take that pathetic '12th man' sign off the Holte. It's shite.
  13. I've never said this before, but I hope United stick a few more past us now. Really hammer the point home to Lerner.
  14. No, Daweii, Utd need goals tomorrow as Man City's goal difference is so much better. They can afford to be reckless as we will again offer very little going forward or even look to hit them on the counter in numbers.
  15. Didn't MM tell us he wouldn't be appointed in the first place? :?:
