briny_ear
f Bob Bradley as "head coach" and Sven as the DOF. My reaction - probably a bit knee-jerk -

villabromsgrove
KM sounds really up for it and came across well in this interview on BBC. http://tinyurl.com/7ylq3 Very good down to earth interview by a level headed an experienced coach. Kevin Mac has no ego, but he is claret and blue and can be authoritarian when he needs to be. That came across quietly in his reminder to some fringe players that they should be grateful to Mon for bringing them to Villa in the first place. RunRickyRun
Dunno if anyone else has posted this: UPDATE:Several outlets have misreported on our initial report, suggesting we reported that Bob Bradley had either resigned or been fired. We did not suggest either had happened, only that, according to our sources, it was unlikely Bradley’s contract would be renewed and that an official announcement could some as early as this week. source This was the article that appeared on Newsnow last night (despite being 19 hours old) that was read by that fat word removed moose, who broadcast the story on national radio which was copied by the Birmingham Fail website (before being taken down ) and which has caused a flurry of bets. Doesn't appear to have the appetite for the role full-time though. Love to see Jol but whoever comes in with Martin Laursen as no.2 please. mjmooney Posted August 13, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted August 13, 2010 One thing about Ranieri - he's the anti-MON when it comes to rotation. You'd never see the same team two matches running.
jraiye
From the Yahoo Sports Article regarding B.Bradley: "Bradley’s name was put forward for the role and was considered by Villa’s American owner, Randy Lerner, and his team of advisers. However, it was felt that while Bradley performed solidly at the World Cup and during his tenure with U.S. Soccer, there are more suitable options available." Interesting quote - "more suitable options available" hmmmmm...
MR.Smalljob
However, a source close to the Villa board insisted during a telephone conversation on Friday morning that any talks ongoing between Bradley and U.S. Soccer were “inconsequential” to the Villa position, which opened up when former boss Martin O’Neill quit on Monday. Nice. That's one of them I'd fear the most :-)
