No, he was incredibly fortunate to play 18 games. Lambert gave him a run in the team to give him some confidence, though he never took it. He should have been dropped after game 3 but Lambert was loyal. At the end of the day Bannan has been found out and has been dropped. Are you seriously trying to make a case for Bannan being a good player based on stats? He was poor but no more poorer than most the team when he played. That's all you need to know No, he was a lot poorer than all of the team when he played. Consistently the worst player on the pitch whenever I have seen him. If it were true, Andy Carroll's supply line would have a high cross %. Baines would have a much higher cross % than Bannan. You could also say other Villa players would have high cross %. They don't.
