sharkyvilla
Nah The Promise sounds a bit too like the Blankety Blank theme tune to me. Biology is a ridiculous song, has about four different melodies before the chorus comes in after about two minutes. Shouldn't really work as a pop tune for the radio but it's great fun. I used to have such a crush on Nadine from Girls Aloud growing up, until she went really skinny.

useless
Biology has the basis of a good song but its spoilt somewhat by some unnecessary elements. Call the shots, the promise and can't speak French, are all better songs.
Mark Albrighton Posted February 21, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) Ok the best Girls Aloud songs. 1. No good advice 2. Something kinda ooh 3. Biology 4. Sexy no no no 5. Can't speak French As Sharky correctly says, as soon as the similarities between "The Promise" and the theme tune to Blankety Blank were made, it was a non starter for me. Although I didn't like them as much, "About you now" by Sugababes is a killer pop song. Edited February 21, 2016 by Shropshire Lad
dont_do_it_doug.
Girls Aloud sound even better with that nostalgic vibe to them. Also 8/10 would bang every single one.
useless
Besides if your pitting western pop against jpop/kpop, then are much better examples to cite than Girls Aloud who aren't even active anymore and I don't think they have been for a while. One of my favourite pop songs from last year was a collaboration between east and west. Naime Amuro and Sophie

I can't help but feel that Nicola looked miserable because people constantly referred to her as the "miserable ginger one". I always thought she was/is very pretty. Wainy316
Give me Girls Aloud any day. Biology and Love Machine are tunes. Check out Girls Generation. Far hotter and far more catchy tunes.

Its/ a chicken and egg scenario though... if she had smiled to begin with then she wouldn't have been the miserable ginger one She is pretty, WB and all that, but she was/is my 5th choice. useless
She's really popular in high fashion at the moment, not exactly sure what it is she does in those circles (design most probably) but it seems to take up a lot of her time. She also does a lot of song writing for other recording artists on top of doing a lot of stuff for anti bullying (seminars in schools, TV publicity ect). Nicola Roberts solo album was pretty underated too. But I'd say the Japanese group Perfume, who have a similar sound are better, musically and choreographically. On the Korean side of things I need to give Girls' Generation a closer listen, I love 'Party' but wasn't so keen on 'Lion Heart'. Find All Saints bland, would rather listen to The Spice Girls. Love Perfume. Their EP last year Relax in the City/Pick Me Up was superb. Up their with their best. Their song Dream Fighter is like the greatest song ever tbh, I'd link it if I weren't on my phone. Keyblade
Nice, didn't know that. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is another favorite (and Nakata project), but she's been getting progressively worse since her debut.
useless
Last i heard Kyary Pamyu Pamyu was another one working on songs with Sophie. Not sure they'll ever see the light of day but I'd like to hear them.
Keyblade
Sophie as in bubblegum bass artist Sophie? That would be amazing if true.
useless
Yes, but I've just looked it up and she first said that she was working with him in early 2014, so who knows if whatever they worked on will ever get released. He's produced the lead song on the new Charlie XCX EP and might have produced the others but I don't think the full details have been re!eased yet.
