RunRickyRun
**** unbelievable. I feel privileged to have watched it live. What struck me was how different the Earth looked from just 24 miles above the surface. That's only the distance (roughly) between Birmingham and Coventry (but vertically upwards) My heart was in my mouth when he started spinning and the camera cut back to mission control - I thought he was a gonner. The relief when they switched back to him and he stopped spinning was palpable.
tonyh29
I've been at 60000 feet and you can see the curvature of the earth and it looks amazing as you look down But boy did that picture looking down from 120,000 feet look beautiful

Stevo985 Posted October 15, 2012 Author VT Supporter Share Posted October 15, 2012 How do you do short links on the new website? Highlight the text you want to be your short link, click the link button at the top of the reply box (looks like a chain link), paste the url into the box that pops up, hit ok. Had me stumped for a while too

BOF Posted October 15, 2012 Moderator Share Posted October 15, 2012 If you edit (or quote) and look at what you've done above, it looks nothing like what I've suggested.
Stevo985 Posted October 15, 2012 Author VT Supporter Share Posted October 15, 2012 But I think the site automatically changes it to that. BOF Posted October 15, 2012 Moderator Share Posted October 15, 2012 TestOK I think I've found why. I think you now need to wrap the URL in double quotes. Try Click
