I only managed 67 last year, that's what having a kid does to you. Already up to 5 Saltburn Train to Busan Do the Right Thing When Evil Lurks Toy Story 4 All been watched so far this month. Trying to stick to at least one new (ish) release and one old release from my watchlist every week Society of the Snow will probably be next I did 378 in 2023 (that's what having older kids does for you ) That's 5 strong movies to start the year with tbh. Society of the Snow is very good indeed.

tonyh29
Musketeers double bill tonight … d'Artagnan finished , quick pizza break then part 2 Milady there’s been countless Musketeer movies and of course the masterpiece that is Dogtanian , but this is easily the best one they’ve ever made even allowing for it being in French with English subtitle's…

Follyfoot Posted January 9 VT Supporter Share Posted January 9 (edited) Stoned movie producer watching the Accountant with Ben Affleck says to his mate, how about we remake this but not with the lead being a savant in numbers and a professional agent and or or hit man, let make it for real men, not the sort who works in an office Mate 'how about someone who works on a site' Producer 'Yeah, lets make him a Bricklayer' we do not even have to change the DVD cover much' 'who is available, cheap and vaguely recognisable to the general public? Yeah that fella who was in Batman who did a K9 remake recently. Eckhart or summat? ' that's the fella 'Stick a tidy bit of skirt as his sidekick and bingo' So Producer winks and skins up again.................. And this is it, retired (will not ruin it and tell you what he does for a living now) bad ass CIA agent, proficient in martial arts and gunplay who takes his tool bag on all his missions, all manner of trowels, hammers, spirit levels etc. Also expert at looking at poor workmanship resulting him finding secret documents hidden behind bricks (this is not a joke) Action is at least on point and if you ever want a extension building and also a rogue agent neutralising with a trowel look no further otherwise avoid Edited January 9 by Follyfoot
Seat68
Watched Men Up tonight. Loved it. Russell T Davies take on the clinical trials for Viagra. Great cast, worth the hour and half. Edited January 9 by Seat68

Yeah it was, it's been on my list for ages. About halfway through I wasn't that impressed. I was enjoying it but I didn't think it was anything special. But by the end I thought it was **** great. The end was far more hard hitting than I thought it would be. Great film
PieFacE Posted January 10 VT Supporter Share Posted January 10 Was ill and binged some films recently Saltburn - Very good Dream Scenario - Interesting idea, good film Society in the Snow - Really really liked it. Rodders
Belatedly saw John Wick 4 the other day. Mostly good fun but far too long for, lop a good half hour or more of that and it would have been excellent, but found it dragged a bit, either a fight scene that was just that bit too long or the ceremonial stuff in between often felt a bit indulgent. But the set pieces were as terrifically choreographed as the previous films though
Designer1 Posted January 11 VT Supporter Share Posted January 11 Really good fun. A nicely grubby 70s aesthetic, with a few blatant nods to the Manson family coupled with a supernatural subplot and a bonkers final third.
Seat68
I love a heist film. Probably my favourite genre, halfway through this new Kevin Hart Netflix film, Lift and about to give up. It's a shocker, clichéd, badly written, badly scripted. It's dreadful. I may struggle to see a worse film this year.
