Designer1 Posted September 30, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted September 30, 2015 Very enjoyable horror comedy from New Zealand. Sharp, witty script and a great story. Some reviews and stuff. Alternately hilarious, gross, and simply diverting, Housebound is the rare horror-comedy that delivers on both fronts.

Zatman
5 Bonds in, dont know how Alan Partridge did it over a weekend I assume the Connery Bonds were good back in the day but just find them quite boring though do look very nice for its time
villa4europe
Connery was good but there's probably a fair few elements that have dated badly (I'm sure it's connerys bond that slaps a couple of women about) the films and the villains were good, bringing back spectre is a smart move IMO you only live twice is my favourite bond filmLazenby wasn't as bad as people make out, the film isn't too bad but iirc feels long, Ben if at the end of the film is probably the best bond scene that no one remembersMoore goes daft and gets overloaded with gadgets and women which is probably what people think of when they think of bond, scaramonga aside though the villains were poor and the stories unremarkable and the blaxploitation in LaLD won't have aged wellDaltons bond is really underrated IMO he basically did what DC is so celebrated for doing now, made it a bit gritty, problem was they are instantly forgettable filmsBrosnan had the superb goldeneye which I'd guess for a generation was their first cinema bond film but they nearly killed the series with cgi, die another day is easily the worst film out of the lot and his other is right down there tooCraig is great but benefits from them being really good well written films, casino royale and sky fall are brilliant films, stick him in a shit film though like QoS and it no longer matters if he's better than any of the others, it's still a shit film
troon_villan
Can't argue with any of that v4e.Brosnan will always be my favourite due to my Goldeneye obsession as a kid.

Absolutely dreadful film.

AshVilla
Mission Impossible : Rogue Nation6/1053 year old Tom Cruise jumping around like a 10 year old is getting a bit boring nowSimon Pegg did his best to make the film funny and the British woman in it was fit thoughI also don't get how Jeremy Renner an actor nearly 10 years younger than Tom Cruise looks twice as old as himThe miracles of plastic surgery i guess

villa4europe
It also had para sailing on a drag car bonnet from an ice cap being melted by a laser from a satellite in space...Can't think off the top of my head of a lower point in bond history, maybe "Rolex?" "Omega actually" in casino royale

It's not awful, but I was just a bit disappointed as I really wanted it to be amazing, and it wasn't unfortunately.
Mark Albrighton Posted October 1, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted October 1, 2015 Think "From Russia with Love" is one of the picks from the Connery bonds. Very underrated and Robert Shaw is a good villan.Never really got into the roger moore films, but "nobody does it better" is the best bond tune.Brosnan was bond whilst I was growing up, so I also identify him in the role initially. Likewise GoldenEye is very good and Famke Janssen is quite possibly one of the reasons why I'm attracted to beautiful brunettes who I know will eventually crush me (emotionally if not physically).
