Wow, yeah nice...possibly another keeper if Olsen goes...

Out:

Olsen, Dendoncker, Chambers, Digne, Lenglet, Hause

Reckon Coutinho will be too tough to move on?

So who are we getting rid of this summer?

They’re pretty much all hopeless. Especially the defence.

#jokes.

how good is Dumfries?

He seems to have lost a step since his stellar 2020 Euros, he's 28 and he already had very little defensive acumen to speak of before. I'm pretty sure Villa is better suited looking elsewhere.

It's tough shopping for defenders today, almost seems like a lost art. The last defensive star transfer, Gvardiol, does much better in attack than in defense.

That Tyrone mings looks alright

I should’ve said right sided CB … gunna take a while for Mings to get back up to speed and get his place back. Konsa has been great but we need strength in depth.

Id like a right sided Gvardiol, someone of a similar ilk to konsa but better going forward

Honestly not a clue who that player is

Mings is 31, and coming back from a serious injury

Controversial, but I think Costa is a better defender than Konsa.

Certainly better on the ball.

I wouldn't get rid of Costa.

Defensive midfielder to play instead of/alongside Kamara, and a top quality No 10

Costa is good, but he’s not as good as Carlos.

what are your opinions of him then?, weaknesses, strengths etc?

His strengths are his pace and strength. Weaknesses are his ability on the ball, and decision making. He’s basically Matty Cash.

We need to be signing someone to take us to the next level there, and what type of right back is down to Emery, but Cash and Konsa aren’t the answer.

I thought Bafode Diakite was really good against us for Lille. He's played a lot at RB (and even a bit at LB). He was good at bringing the ball out as well as strong defensively. His goalscoring record this season is pretty crazy and speaks to how good he is in the air. He seems to be a perfect fit for what we need there primarily, with Nedeljkovic or KKH competing for the secondary attacking RB role.
