The amount of money they have spent over and over (an especially exorbitant amount on their defence) and not one of their players looked comparable to or at the level of any of ours today. McGinn completely dominated the lot of them! They simply could not deal with him.

Utterly immense.

I said to my wife tonight, this team has all of the magic of the Villa team I first fell in love with back in 92/93. The heart, the swashbuckling attacks, and the feeling that we can win things against all odds of the so called big teams. To be honest this feels better than the 90’s teams, we still need to win things to be truly remembered as great, but I really think we will.

Happy to share and help others indulge in the absolute delight of such an amazing performance and result. It’s one way I celebrate

Strongly feel that we really deserved more goals today… it’s all that was missing.

I don’t personally know any other Villa fans other than on here - it’s the only place I can engage with others and I especially enjoy these positive moments and seeing us all so happy - especially after all the misery, decline and mockery we have had to endure for so long… those days are OVER!

Got to love how well and truly we have “upset the apple cart” now it’s glorious.

An additional thing that I found quite amazing today… luck was not on our side… as has so often been the case. But… Unai has elevated and transformed us to such a degree that we play such high quality football (the likes of which I have never seen before) that we counteract factors like that (including poor decisions and refereeing) because we are SO GOOD now.

We played so incredibly well and absolutely DOMINATED the treble winners!!!

We won this game purely on the basis of how well we played and how well our players adhered to Unai’s master plan.
