The Athletic are saying that his season's over: is there something suggesting otherwise?

Edit: Seen that Ange didn't say he was unavailable in his press conference earlier on today: given the timeframes of the announcements you might be right. Or Ange's lying.

He is not named in the Brazil Copa squad , im sure the rule is you can't be ruled out for an international game with injury but play for your club

Brazil coach Dorival Jr said: “"Richarlison has a calf injury. It has not yet been made official by the club, but we contacted the player and he informed us."

Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski are both, therefore, likely to start, with Heung-min Son through the middle.

Emerson Royal was at fault for two of Liverpool's goals in the 4-2 defeat at Anfield last time out and Postecoglou has revealed Oliver Skipp could deputise at left-back after training there in the last couple of weeks.

Injured

Sounds like we might have additions to our own injury list... Bailey a big doubt... We might have to start some of the kids....

Hope Rodri is fit for the Spurs game....

It was posted on the forum under the prematch Liverpool. I mean it's not really a surprise, he's clearly injured to some extent due to the strapping on his leg...

There’s no quotes from anybody from the club I don’t think. It’s assumption that he will have to be assessed following Bailey being subbed off.

We were all guns blazing against olympiakos, but because of the injuries the gun is more like a water pistol right now.

It got the job done for Takeshi defending his castle, it can get the job done for us finishing fourth.

Here's hoping for a Burnley win tomorrow to put all of this to bed.....

Yep win or bust for them today and they would actually have a good chance of staying up if they can get the win so a big incentive for them.

They have Forest last game at home so yeah, they win today they would give themselves a massive chance of staying up.

Did you see the article on Twitter yesterday, headlines from an interview with Eddie Howe?

" Despite injury crisis, Newcastle only sit 11 points behind a FULLY FIT Aston Villa squad "

Thankfully Villa fans piled on.

I'll try to find the post and share here.

The other thing I like about this and always like about Newcastles injuries is that the media ignore that they have a £50m key player in the middle of the pitch who isn't injured but also isn't playing... Never talk about how that's killed them this season for some reason, always just injuries
