Getting 6 points from our next 2 games really is vital.

4 is enough to continue our trajectory. Even 1 win 1 loss still maintains 2 PPG

Imagine if Newcastle and United both didn’t do the double over us. It’s crazy how well we’ve done.

Nearly a third of our goals conceded came in them 4 games

Not sure that's a good way to look at it, our next two games are against 15th and 17th. We still have to play Arsenal and City away in April. If we don't get a result against both Forest and Luton, we'll have to get one at the Emirates or the Etihad to maintain that PPG, by this logic.

If we do finish 4th or 5th and get CL, who would it be more beneficial to miss out on CL football, Spurs or United?

I’d say Spurs. Man U are still a huge club and will find their way back to the top eventually. Spurs have never known the success that United have had. We have the chance to displace Spurs from the top six and replace them as regular European qualifiers.

It is but then we have that mad fixture run with both ECL legs and Spurs in the space of 10 days sandwiched in between.

Rather get the pts on the board ahead of schedule and not go into that game making it a must win.

That’s true but it’s not the end of the world if we don’t win both

As for Man Utd, momentum is everything and they have it with them at the moment. Luton (A), Fulham (H) Man city (A) Everton (H) sheff utd (H) . They could easily win 4 out of those 5 and if they did would probably be within 4 points of us with 8/9 games to go.

I don't care what their momentum is now. They have 13 matches to go. That's a long time to keep up momentum. If they were good enough to maintain it that long, they'd be challenging City for the title instead.

Look at their goal difference. They really shouldn't be as high up the table as they are. They could easily go lose 3 in a row.

Don't be scared by the name on the shirt. Without Alex Ferguson, they're nothing special.

Spurs have a greater chance to drop an absolutely honking result out of nowhere. We haven’t had a result as bad as home to wolves all season

The Newcastle game was pretty bad tbh but I know what you mean. Spurs can be ripped open very easily.

I think we can reasonably target wins against Forest (H), Luton (A), West Ham (A), Brentford (H), Bournemouth (H), and Palace (A), plus draws with Spurs (H), Chelsea (H), and Brighton (A). That's 21 points, takes us to 70.

That's assuming nothing against City, Arsenal, or Liverpool, or Wolves because they're in form and we never beat them.

That's a pretty realistic aim, and two of the teams I'm saying we'll lose against we've already beaten, albeit at home and playing our best football in decades.

United would need to get 27 points from their final 13 fixtures to overtake us. That's 7 wins and 6 draws, or 8 wins if you think they don't go unbeaten the rest of the season.

We can beat Wolves, just need the first goal in that one. Feels the time to beat West Ham away but that is tough to call given it's straight after both teams play second leg of Europa so will have to see who gets home tie in the second leg and which is more taxing.

It would make sense just to stick that game on the Monday night but it's international fortnight after so guess it isn't possible.

Can remember Bournemouth last season and going there and winning last minute. When we're finishing a point ahead of them that really mattered.

Main thing is they don't beat either Arsenal or Man. City at home in the run in, got draws away to both so that can't be ruled out.

Palace and Burnley were very, very close to that.

I’d also argue drawing at home to Sheff Utd is much worse than losing to Wolves at home.

Worst VAR overruled goal of the season so far that changed the game completely

West Ham and Villa both topped their groups so I think that means the second leg for both teams will be at home. First leg being away is probably inconvenient for us since its Spurs at the weekend. Hopefully West Ham don't have a new manager by then.
