Arsenal:

Duran- never kicked a ball in a top league

Bailey- Already playing, no wing replacement- not a striker

Coutinho- He's next to useless now- not a striker

Buendia- Already playing, not a striker.

Ramsey- Already playing (likely), not a striker.

K. Young- young, unproven, probably do a job. On the wing. Not a striker.

The term striker is meaningless. They can all play as forwards.

And who’s gonna pay player X’s wages for the next 5 years when we don’t want him any more because he wasn’t actually what we wanted in the first place?

There’s two sides to every coin my friend.

One side of that coin MEANS WE HAVE NO STRIKERS.

We only one up top and Watkins has averaged 36 league games per season in his first 2 seasons with us. It looks like a calculated gamble that he leads the line until the summer at least.

Oh come on.. you don’t say stuff like this, that’s him out for the season now after 1 minute against Leics

With the exception of Bailey, who was rubbish, none of those players have ever played as a central forward.

Our new 16mil signing. Ollie also might not get injured, and in fact very rarely does. I feel like a stuck record too - or at least a record surrounded by fans who seem desperate to jump to the worst possible scenario.

To be fair even Emery has said that he is one for the future rather than one for the now.  It would have been good to see him play at least part of a match before the end of the window.  Maybe he is tearing it up in training and we're just keeping it quiet so that we don't blow our "4 aces" hand before the Leicester match and Emery is playing the ultimate poker face. 🙂

That’s why you use loans.

Haven’t heard any good arguments against signing a forward on loan today.

We are with forward players. Most have been saying Watkins is not the answer, but now we have to count on him as the main guy to get us the goals.

Emery teams typically don’t rely on one forward for goals, last season in la liga the highest goal tally out of the forwards was 10, Nicolas Jackson who failed his medical at Southampton scored 0 they were willing to pay £23m for him.

Have a wank, it helps.

I just took your advice. Didn’t go down too well with our receptionist.

Coutinho can play up front if Watkins gets injured?

What a bizarre take, this is the same guy who's legs have clearly gone and couldn't even beat a Stevenage defender 🤣.

Emery can't be happy with this window, i'm expecting big things from the club this summer.

I know he's only 17, but do you think Emery will start to introduce Rory Wilson to the first team maybe in the last 10 games of the season?

It would be great to see him get some minutes

I’ll not argue against that.

But to loan someone you need them to be available.  Baston?
