I hope it's not Stevie G but I think you are doing him a massive disservice by dismissing him with such disdain. He's done a more than solid job at Rangers and is borderline idolized by their fan base who are a notoriously fickle bunch. We could do a hell of a lot worse. What Howe did with Bournemouth was great. I don’t think he’s world class but he’s proven his ability to run a decent team in a decent league. Gerrard hasn’t. I’d imagine in a poll of either Villa fans or neutrals the majority would favour Howe. By a distance. Dont get me wrong if it’s Gerrard I’ll give him every chance and hope he does brilliantly (I actually like him) but it’s based on hope and hope alone. Alex McLeish won championships with Rangers. It’s not any sort of credible experience. It’s the same as giving it to JT. Sounds like you guys are ITK though so I’ll have my fingers tightly crossed he can step up! Seem to have the potential to step at the same rate that the progress the club want to make.
