Brighton have some talented young players, a very sympathetic and positive manager and they play some nice stuff most games but just like last season they are not picking up many points.

During their 4 years in the PL they have spent a lot of money, about £200m on players (compared to the £250m or so we've spent in 2) and picked up some gems but also wasted a lot. Shows how difficult it is.

Bit unfair.

Smith is working on a much higher budget and got a much better squad.

Little clubs like Burnley and Brighton is a bad comparison. Newcastle and Everton are more similar sized clubs.

Brighton have had two years more of Premier League money and better management stability for past several years. They were in a much better position than us for years to build on

Brighton spent nearly 80 million last season

But they are a completely different run club.

Both Potter and Dyche have to work under financial restrictions.

How was that penalty given in the palace game? Lamptey is about half the size of Batshuayi and barely touches him. There’s no way that contact makes Batshuayi go down like that. Seems a nailed on dive to me and I’d like to see players booked for that much more often.

Was pretty much the same as the Henderson dive for England the other day. The referees are ruining the league for me at the moment with the bizarre inconsistent decisions.

But Brighton have still spent money, a lot of money

Not in comparison which is my point.

Different run clubs.

By the rate we are spending we shouldn't even worry about the likes of Burnley and Brighton. We need to aim getting closer to Wolves and Everton.

At the start of last season and before the last game of last season Brighton and Burnley were and kind of still are ahead of us. They at a stage where they should only be tweaking the squad with 3/4 signings a year. Last year we needed 10 players and had to teach them a system. This year we’ve had to buy at least 5 players to avoid relegation.

Umeå game in the women's league had to be cancelled. They were facing Kristianstad who had to fly back the almost 1200 kilometers back home without playing.

Incredibly overrated by some people on here. They are 3 seasons ahead of us in planning yet arent up to much

"good team, got a lot of right things about them, play good football, a lot to be admired, heading in the right direction"

They'll finish 12th this year and call it a good season

Its what the PL is

They're a nothing club doing nothing in a league made up of the same
