This has been an excellent performance, we've dominated from the start against a tram that arrived on the back of six straight wins.

I thought Raikhy, Bogarde and Chukwuemeka were very good, Ramsey was superb throughout, but the two standouts for me were the fullbacks, both Chrisene and Kesler were brilliant.

We work hard, we play some lovely stuff and we've got some very talented individuals.

If we can please avoid Chelsea or Man City in the 5th round that'd be great thanks.

WOW what a win! total domination and patience play. Nice football

Aaron Ramsey MOTM!
Ben Chrisene looks a Rolls Royce LB. Kessler and Carney Chukwuemeka also Brill.
Shoutout to Arjan Raikhy aswell who worked so hard in the middle and come up with the assist for the first goal. Tidy player

Everyone played very well, including the two central defenders that I was worried about before the game. The midfield three and Kesler and Chrisene the standouts, which is pretty much half of the team, I thought Tommi O'reilly showed some nice touches as well, especially considering he hasn't long started playing for the U18s.

We've had to play two Premier League sides to get this far, hopefully we get an easier game in the next round.

Having been a little down with the Villa recently but watching that has put a massive smile on my face. So many good performances and so much talent for the future, The press was ridiculous and this Brighton side are apparently no mugs. I think i know the solution for Fulham, stick Ollie in instead of Young and play this lot we will murder them LOL. Maybe bring Jack on  for the last 20 minutes to give young Ramsey a rest LOL

I see that Blackburn beat Leeds in the quarter finals of the Premier League Cup yesterday, as far as I know we're still in the competition having won our group, not sure who we're playing but our game can't be far away.

That was a joy to watch. Best I've seen Chrisene play, Kesler was excellent, but Ramsey was the star man for me tonight. Thought he was first class. Barry was quiet, but did excellently for one of Ramsey's goals, and thought Chukwuemeka was also quiet, but also managed to get an assist. Raikhy is a bit of an unsung hero, some of his pressing was great. The future looks very bright!

Good result for the boys it seems.

What’s happened to Shakpoke, has he played much?

Only played one game since we signed him

Seems a mystery to why hes not playing

Raikhy's pressing was very good, but also he's very good in possession, very comfortable on the ball, hardly ever looks like he's going to give it away and picks out some very good passes, very clever free-kick from him today to assist our first goal. Not many players of an Indian heritage go on to play at the top level but hopefully he can buck that trend. He's another that we got from the West Brom academy.

Shakpoke has been injured, Mark Harrison said so in his quotes when he signed his professional contract, the fact that we signed him to a professional deal as soon as he turned seventeen despite hardly having played for us shows how highly we must rate him.

He posted a video to his instagram about a month back and he was in obvious agony doing squats, but has more recently posted a picture of him in training gear and football boots, so hopefully that means he isn't too far away now.

When we signed Chrisene I thought he was a cm or cb. Didn't realise he was a lb

Neither did he.

i remember when we signed him it was mentioned that he could "play anywhere down the left hand side".

but ye i imagine he didnt expect to be put in as a left back, however it kinda makes sense, we have Barry on that left side, and if Chrisene can play as attacking left back well why not develop his ability and left back (as Barry is taking the left wing position), i would imagine if he ever moves back on to the wing he will be much better defensively/tracking after a stint as attacking left back, or if he stays left back we might just have a perfect modern left back on our hands!

i do wonder if when Taylor and Elmo leave at the end of the season, we might just see one or both of Chrisene & Kesler getting some bench time?, would certainly allow us to spend the money where its really needed in midfield and forwards if we have some youth prospects ready to deputise at left and right back.

Obviously though......that depends on whether they are ready to deputise....

Thats why I compared him to Gareth Bale. Seems like a player who can play anywhere

Hmmm sitting on the bench will not improve them tho. Better off going out on loan to a league1/2 team

Chrisene started out playing left-back for us for the U18s because Seb Revan is the only specialist left-back in the whole of our academy and he was playing for the U23s, so someone had to play there for the U18s. But seems that Chrisene has done so well there that he's now become first choice in that position for the U23s ahead of Revan. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see Chrisene move further forward next season, there will probably be room for him to do so if some of the others go out on loan, with Revan returning to left-back.
