Finished 4-0 to us, Jay-Hart, Bradley Young twice, and Dewain Sewell with the goals.

Win puts us just two points off Palace at the top of the table and we've got two games in hand over them.

Not heard of Hart or Sewell. I'm assuming the average age of the squad is 13 or so

That's a strange one for Kesler - from Captain of the U23's to being back in the U18's.

I would say its just game time more than anything. I just love the fact we have a U23 captain who is able to drop 6 years in age to play.

He could have played 90 minutes for the U23's yesterday?

Given that we only had 4 subs yesterday for the U23s, it was probably just a strategic personnel decision to make sure the U18s were covered.

Thats a good point. But we all know he is highly rated. Maybe the performance analysts wanted him in a lower pressure game or something. Even at their age science is at the forefront nowadays .  But i am just a simple photocopier salesman. I am sure someone else can have a better educated reply on this

Our only full back at U18 level is Frankie Ealing, so today one of Seb Revan, Kesler or Chrisene had to drop into the U18s. Chrisene has been filling in on the left-wing for the U23s, and because Revan has been injured recently, I imagine they thought it was more important that he get game time than Kesler yesterday at U23 level just to get him back up to speed.

Also it might be that Kesler had a slight injury, and it was just better for him to make a comeback at a lower level and in a game that came a day later, I imagine he will be back playing for the U23s next week.

Who was he up against?

I'm too lazy to look but there's every danger he played vs a better prospect in the u18s game so we thought it was better for him

Since Chrisene has been playing for the U23s, the U18s have one fullback, Frankie Ealling, so unless we either sign someone new, promote someone from the U16s, or play someone out of position, then each week one of Revan, Kesler or Chrisene are going to have to drop into the U18s to play fullback, I suspect most weeks it will be Chrisene like he's been doing for most of the season, even though left-back isn't his specialist position.

Sewell popped up on Transfermarkt sometime last season. They have him as a 17yr old RW. Hart made the bench for the Liverpool FA Cup tie, they have him listed as a 17yr old CM.

It will be now interesting to see who plays leftback tomorrow, now that Kesler, Chrisene and Seb Revan have all played today, I suppose Revan could still play as he only came on for the last ten minutes, but would be asking a lot of him to play at home tonight and then expect him to travel to London to play in the early afternoon tomorrow.

Also presumably someone's going to have to replace Young, my guess would be Abldeen-Goodridge, if Shakpoke is still injured.

Would be good if they streamed some of these U18 games as well.

Finnished 1-1, Appiah sent off after two late yellow cards, not a great result for us as Palace won again today, meaning they're now four points ahead of us at the top of the table. Better news though is that we've still got two games in hand.

Losing 1-0 at half-time to Tottenham. Could really have done with winning today, having games called off has meant we've fallen off the pace of the top of the table, so whilst we'll have games in hand, don't want to leave ourselves with too much to do. Pretty strong line up as well...

Marschall, Chrisene, Swinkels, Lindley, Seb Revan, Raikhy, Aaron Ramsey, Afoka, Rowe, Abldeen-Goodridge, Ben Young  Subs: Zych, Aaron O'Reilly, Reddin, Tommi O'Reilly, Sewell

1-1 final score against Totteham, Seb Revan with our goal. Result means we've closed the gap on the top of the table as both Fulham and Palace have lost their games today. We're now three points off Palace at the top of the table, with two games in hand, and two points off Fulham in second place, have three games in hand over them, and play them next weekend.
