The problem for a lot of companies is that they've put plans in place following the end of furlough and they won't now be wanting to change those plans because there's been a one month extension. Extended with five hours notice - it's not helpful to business to not know - business will have already put plans in place based around furlough ending - they won't be able to change those tonight.
