Why are we playing a midfielder this deep in a game against Walsall

We don't need a DM in every game FFS!

Think it's our version of the "Pirlo role"

It's a bit flawed so far...

Get us used to playing how we would against better opposition. Just because we aren't playing championship clubs, doesn't mean we shouldn't practice like we are.

On the one hand people say it's not about the result on the other hand people moan about how we set up against weaker opposition.

I give up

You won't get anywhere in football if you don't have a player who can take someone out the game with a burst of pace, skill, intelligence or pass.

But you can also achieve quite a lot by being disciplined, well drilled, pressing the opposition, moving off the ball, playing in triangles and having a game plan of how to defend and score against your opposition.

Once again against a much poorer side their passing tempo and movement on and off the ball is better than ours.

Those are training ground issues.

Been an issue at Villa for ages.

Gabby always kills the momentum by turning his back to goal with the ball and passing it backwards or out to the wing. It hurts every time. He has no footballing brain and no skill to take on the defender.

Nah. Let's just give it Kodjia and hope something happens.
