rodders0223
Quote West Brom are close to completing the signing of left-back Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal. The clubs have agreed a fee in the region of £5m for the 27-year-old, who had also been in talks with Watford and Turkish side Galatasaray. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41085222 Shows just how shit he is, that even in today's market he can only command a £5m fee. Guy has stolen a living for a decade, not capable of doing anything, be it offensively or defensively. One of the most technically inept footballers you could wish to see. Garbage. Dr_Pangloss
With a lot of these deals you have to wonder whether the managers are getting a sizable backhander.

Stoke don't even need him. They have Shawcross, Martins Indi, Zouma and Geoff Cameron as CB options which is decent for a mid table team.

No way can Arsenal sell Alexis after the week they've had imo. I don't think Sterling is as bad as a lot of people think on this forum but come on even I can see that would be a terrible deal for Arsenal as Sterling wouldn't even be a direct replacement, it would be their Milner/Ireland deal. Said it before but Arsenal should gamble Aguero might not fancy bench warming in world cup year and might be up for a move to London and ask the question at least. Money laundering! Never mind investing in precious metals, vintage cars or classic watches. Just buy a player, stick him in a shed for 2 years then quadruple your money Mental.

VillaChris
Decent signings by Monaco. Balde had an excellent season at Lazio and IF he can stay fit Jovetic is a pretty good number 10 in a slower paced league.

VillaChris
Ah yes I remember that. Probably a tenuous link but he's a very good young striker, 16 goals in Seria A last season. Probably would've been a great Benteke replacement.

On one hand Sanchez is pretty much the only chance they have at having a decent season, but on the other hand, you are out of a lot of money in one year's time. This sale should have happened a month ago and a suitable replacement could have been found. Now Arsenal are already in a bad spot, and Sanchez wants nothing to do with them anymore.
