Not sure what your problem is @blandy. Get rid of Man City and Man Utd in one go.

Not part of Lancashire, though, are they. How can anyone want to destroy the peawet lakes of Wigan, the gravy falls of Preston, or the pie mines of Accrington?  Let alone the beer fountains of Burnley. Even a total weapon like Pladimir Vutin would be charmed by the delights of Lancashire. **** Blackpool mind.

T54/T55 variant tanks on the move. In case you don't know, these tanks were first produced in 1946, The first post WWII Soviet tank, though they were still in action in the Soviet Afghanistan campaign, 40 years ago. In modern terms, these are museum pieces many generations behind modern tanks. The Gaz-66 trucks date from the mid-60's to the end of the last century and probably have some use but those tanks are a real sign of desperation

What use is a tank that goes backwards ffs.

On a serious note. They'll probably be using muskets in 6 months.

Has anyone seen a good recent battlefield analysis on Twitter / Reddit / etc which covers the different battle lines and likely scenarios over the coming weeks? Guess things haven’t moved much over the winter, but there were some great threads when things were moving quickly, and haven’t seen anything good recently

Macron, being recently bashed by both Stoltenberg and Finland for not doing enough has caved and is trying to be the first to deliver Western tanks. I presume he's lied to Zelensky and aims to deliver these by 2030. It also doesn't use standard NATO-ammunition so will be fairly useless unless Ukraine can source 105mm rounds. I'm sure Macron knew this, it's a way to show support without pissing off his mate Putin.

Now Ukraine just needs some main battle tanks, ironically stopped by Scholz when Denmark and Finland have said that they're trying to deliver Leopard 2's.

The backlash many politicians are getting from their voting population for sitting on their hands in this conflict will likely end many political careers, the decision power of NATO and EU has seemed to shift from France\Germany to the Baltics\Finland, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Holland.

Meanwhile, Turkey delivered 42 Kirpi MRAPS in one day via train through Moldova, it shows you the difference.

Whole thread is worthy of a read. 2 Million men to be mobilized. Possibly going to close the borders this time. It's possible that men behind with their divorce maintenance payments will be among the first mobilised

Isn't it Rheinmetall that are preventing this? As a Swiss company they are bound by Swiss laws which prevent such third party transfers?

If this doesn’t trigger a major uprising in Russia then nothing will. If millions are going to die anyway on the battlefield then they may as well take their chances protesting against the government.

2 million unmotivated untrained conscripts with no weapons to speak of going up against half a million super motivated, battle hardened NATO trained soldiers armed to the teeth with modern weaponry.

It's going to be like WW1 soldiers going over the top and walking straight into machine gun fire.  The massacre will be terrible.
