If ruSSia has developed and produced a hypersonic missile you can be assured that the US has been working on a countermeasure for exactly the same length of time.

ruSSia is struggling to defeat a country which they surrounded on 3 sides, outnumbered and outgunned.  Even today Ukraine is decades behind NATO.  Just imagine how ruSSia would have fared against F22 Raptors, Stealth bombers, cruise missiles and integrated forces.

Since the invasion of Ukraine began, we have been tracking the responses of well over 1,200 companies, and counting. Over 1,000 companies have publicly announced they are voluntarily curtailing operations in Russia to some degree beyond the bare minimum legally required by international sanctions — but some companies have continued to operate in Russia undeterred.

Originally a simple "withdraw" vs. "remain" list, our list of companies now consists of five categories—graded on a school-style letter grade scale of A-F for the completeness of withdrawal.

Dont these companies realise that by continuing normal operations in Russia they are condoning what is happening in Ukraine. If thats the case then customers should boycot those companies products.

An awful lot of them aren't products you could effectively boycott

I didn't check if it was on the list but companies like JCB, how do you or I effectively Boycott them

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/aug/02/jeremy-corbyn-urges-west-to-stop-arming-ukraine

Quote

Jeremy Corbyn has urged western countries to stop arming Ukraine...

“Pouring arms in isn’t going to bring about a solution, it’s only going to prolong and exaggerate this war,” Corbyn said. We might be in for years and years of a war in Ukraine.”

Corbyn gave the interview on Al Mayadeen, a Beirut-based TV channel that has carried pro-Russia reporting since Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

“What I find disappointing is that hardly any of the world’s leaders use the word peace; they always use the language of more war, and more bellicose war.”

He added: “This war is disastrous for the people of Ukraine, for the people of Russia, and for the safety and security of the whole world, and therefore there has to be much more effort put into peace.”

He called for the UN to be “much more centre stage”, and suggested involving other international bodies such as the African Union or the League of Arab States if the UN were unable to help negotiate a ceasefire.

I consider myself a socialist but this sort of rubbish is very hard to defend.  Maybe the UK should have stopped fighting the Nazis in 1939.  All it did was prolong the war.  🤦‍♂️

Does anyone think that Pelosi's visit to Taiwan will mean China will actively start supporting Russia militarily in Ukraine? I have a feeling....

Prior to this war I thought that a China/Russia alliance might fancy its chances against NATO.   But Russia has proven to be so inept that the European bits of NATO plus Canada would turn back a Russian attack without US help.  That would leave the US, Japan, Australia and South Korea to face China. I don't think China would risk that conflict.

They might help Russia by selling them ammunition and low level weapons. But they aren't going to hand over their best kit.

I believe China look after China first, second and last.  They will rape Russia for their gas and oil.  Russia will have no other option but to sell to them for dirt cheap prices.

China more likely looking in the medium term to take advantage of the inevitable eventual collapse of Russia and maybe claim back the areas it has always considered to be its own from Russia and possibly more.

There would be something quite funny about someone invading Russia.

Russia's other "Friends" are unlikely to turn into War Allies.

India isn't going to oppose NATO military especially with Pakistan ready to take advantage.

Iran doesn't have much to offer without nukes. The same applies for North Korea.

Brazil just can't make a difference so far away from the conflict zone.

Syria's got its own problems.

The Chechens, Georgians and Belarusians might use the chance to resolve their own issues.

When Vietnam decare war on the US it will see "Born In The USA" back in the charts but not much else.

Add Kazakhstan, Moldova and Bosnia to the list of countries that would love themselves a bit of Russian collapse. Imagine being free of Vlad’s clammy shaky hand..

Seems Ukraine has deployed something that can fire HARM anti radar missiles. Unless they somehow got their MiGs to fire NATO tech this can only mean that someone’s given them a trusty f-16.
