What is fans want to hear from Tony Xia at this stage? Statement about changes have been made as well as statement about tax payment to be made. Nothing else has changed.

Im not sure what else Tony and the club can actually communicate at this time.

I want to know the plan for champions league qualification, we have 2 years left of the five and its tough qualifying from the championship.

Oh, so nothing to see after all that fuss then....

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/06/21/aston-villa-survive-another-month-owner-provides-5m-funds/

Aston Villa are set to avoid the threat of another financial crisis after owner Dr Tony Xia assured the Championship club around £5m in funds.

Villa are confident of paying this month’s pay-roll and tax bill on time, as it emerged talks were held this week with the Football League over their future plans.

Shaun Harvey, the EFL’s chief executive, has met with Villa officials and is understood to have received assurances that Xia is working hard to source outside investment and meet the club’s financial obligations.

Xia has been struggling with cash-flow issues in China and was late making a payment to HMRC in May, but has since provided the money to keep the club running for at least another month. It is understood the first round of June’s payments are due on Friday.

Though Villa’s problems are far from over, it suggests Xia remains determined to solve their financial worries and avert the nightmare scenario of administration.

Month by month is a worry though! All a bit payday loans and cash converters at the mo.

Well @Jareth....whilst I share your view that one or two people may have over reacted - at this stage - ( although to my mind you have under reacted ) I have absolutely no idea how you view that article as “ nothing to see”.....

TBF I've been concerned as much as anyone, but waiting for info. John Percy's report says crisis delayed - but that's if we're all certain there was a crisis in the first place. To each their own on that front!

I can’t argue with the idea of waiting for real, factual info.

But on the other hand I can’t argue with those that think it might never come and dig stuff up or hypothesise themselves either.

Inagree each to their own, but I’m afraid for me that report - if it’s based on anything material - actually confirms one of the poorer scenarios.

Oh yeah, everything is fine. Nothing to see at all.

Just the owners original claims of wealth looking not to be true and us seeking ways to pay the bill each month.

The perfect club

Honestly, head in the sand does not do your defence of xia justice.

Well it certainly could be, and no doubt it will be alledged that the £5mill is borrowed. However, we've gone from administration NEXT WEEK, oh no, by the END OF JUNE, to oh, BY THE END OF JULY. And all the while, every bill has been met, every financial obligation met, the EFL content finances are being properly managed. I'll panic when those sorts of things are not happening.

What do you make of the EFL's opinion?

Agree.

With the best will in the world, whilst the degrees of problem may be anywhere on a scale, all is clearly not well. He can’t come out and say that. But if he spoke and didn’t say that he’d be hammered ( and probably have to lie). Or whatever he said would be meaningless.

We don’t need him to speak, we need to hope he is acting.

Do we know every bill has been met ?

That sounds as much guesswork as suggesting they haven’t.

And I have to say, whilst the word “ Administration” features in discussions about our finances and future, the fact that the month mentioned changes doesn’t do much for me ! ?

Not much. Other clubs have been run terribly. It reports we have assured them we are working hard to seek outside investment. That's all they will care about.

Well I swear if one single bill wasn't we'd have had wall to wall press coverage of the instance.

I doubt that. Very few creditors would have an interest in publicising such problems. I’m not sure the opinion that unpaid bills would be in the media is sufficient to back up your reassurance that “ every bill has been paid” !

Every bill might have been paid, but might not. There could be awful gremlins waiting ahead....it’s happened to a million businesses before.  Or it might all be ok.

Stop being so ridiculous...

We are clearly going to win the FA Cup this season, qualifying for the Europa League, next season we will win that and then 5 years into Xia's plan we are playing Champions League football. The Premier League route is so old now...
