Balotelli? People have said that he's world class on his day? Maybe a world cup winner? Podolski or Klose maybe? It's surely not going to be someone that could still cut it at top level so someone like the above seems more reasonable.

I doubt it. If we sign someone half decent like Hernandez, I think people will be too excited about that, to bother complaining that it's not Ronaldo or Messi.

Could the Doctor be talking about Roberto Soldado? He is currently at Villarreal. Whether the term "World Class" is a bit OTT but maybe the Doctor has that view of him. It also fits in with the "Real no.9" tweet too.

Hope not, his knee exploded in preseason

We have to have the most transparent club owner in the country at the moment.

And yet he still manages to tease us about bringing players in!

Seriously though, it's nice to get that excitement back - the signing of McCormack was genius - not only because of his quality but it was a very good statement to show us his intentions and that he meant business. The signings that have followed have reinforced that.

It will, and I wonder if some of our fanbase will be able to handle that.

Talk about unorthodox as an owner.....He has blown me away.

just hope the love affair continues for a very long time.

Nothing is guaranteed in Football, but his intent is very, very encouraging.

We're probably going to end this window having spent £50m plus, assuming the new striker is £10m-£15m

If we get promoted what will we do next summer? £100m? £150m?

Exciting times.
