So, just taking a step back from this obviously good thing.

Parliament just had a vote on whether the outcome of the biggest political event in decades should be decided by themselves, or just on a whim by whoever happens to be in the room talking about it at the time, and it's a surprise that it passed. And it very nearly didn't.

That's absolutely ******* mental.

Yes it is, but remember that we live in a time when our lead negotiator on matters affecting the country for decades to come is David Davis.   This is how low the bar has been set.  By rights, we should have descended on Parliament with pitchforks, and set him and his familiars adrift on the Thames in a leaky coracle.
