villanwesty88
You missed out Okore! And a few others who are out on loan... Luna, Tonev etc. I thought I'd put Okore in. The others out on loan I'd forgotten! Amended
electronicmaji
A better keeper could be the difference between staying up or going down. A team with a really good keeper can do a whole lot better. It is probably the second most important position after striker. Without Guzans errors we could probably have ended the season two places higher. For a team like ours that is the difference between relegation and survival.
daggy_333
I don't think our budget will stretch to replacing our goalkeeper, it's probably one of the last positions that needs looking at

Spray
I have no idea why we would want to keep unproductive players like N'Zogbia and Gabby. Gabby barely assists or creates (one in the entire 2014/15) so no point in playing him out wide, hasn't seen double figures for league goals since 2009/10. Only scored 6 goals, (in all comps) for 4/5 years. N'Zogbia has 3 assists (in all comps) and a grand total of 0 goals (5 in 4 years). Yet these are our main attackers and the club and some of the fans wan't to keep them. They are bad for business! Popular Post Dodgyknees
Positions we need to look at before we ever look at the keeper: left back, right back, centre back, winger, holding midfielder, attacking midfielder, striker x2.
chappy
Baggies in for Cristian Benavente from Madrid. 5m Euro touted. Don't know anything about him really other than he plays for Peru. Someone we should be looking at? Sounds a bit like Christian Benteke. Sign him up, people might not notice.

tommybread
Centre back: Smalling (Man Utd), Evans (Man Utd), Heintz (Kaiserslautern), Keogh (Derby) Left back: Willems (PSV), Friend (Boro) Centre forward: Mitrovic (Anderlecht), Gignac (Marseille), Max Gradel (St Etienne), Bamford (Chelsea), Rhodes (Blackburn), Austin (QPR) Would be nice to improve areas; Goalkeeper: Heaton (Burnley) Right back: Sam Bryam (Leeds United), Kierian Trippier (Burnley), Carl Jenkinson (Arsenal loan) Central midfield: Dennis Praet (Anderlecht), Rudy (Hoffenheim), Caroll (Spurs), Hughes (Derby), Winger: Serge Gnabry (Arsenal), Joel Campbell (Arsenal), Townsend (Spurs), Sako (wolves/free), Pritchard (Spurs) You'll be waiting a long time if you think you have any chance of signing Smalling. He is our number 1 CB and has even been handed the captaincy in the absence of Rooney and Carrick. Arsenal are always trying to take him off us as well, there is no chance you'll be going anywhere near him. Evans would be more likely and would be a fantastic signing for you but even then he has been linked with better teams and would likely prefer a Europa League club. Dennis Praet is way too optimistic as well, he is simply to good for you. Gnabry would be a loan at best, Arsenal aren't going to get rid. Rob182
What's your point? Delph was voted ours yet for me Benteke had more of an effect on our season after he recovered. These awards are meaningless. In either case he just relegated and he claims he will stay at Hull, doesn't come across as the "winner" Sherwood has been banging on about to me atleast either. In my opinion, you could separate players into four brackets. Proven Premier League: eg Jagielka, Evans Past-their-best Premier League: Dawson, Senderos Potential Premier League quality: Vlaar before he joined us Complete Gamble: Foreign players or lower league players that haven't had great reviews, or haven't even been their clubs best player in their position. As listed, I see Dawson as falling into that second bracket, and I assume that's the bracket (and below) that we'll be shopping in, considering the budget that Randy is likely to offer. You mentioned that you rate Senderos higher than Dawson, but also mentioned that Dawson got relegated... As did Senderos. Also, Senderos has had a mystery injury for half the season, so at least Dawson would be available. He's not the most exciting link, I'll give you that. But he's a name I could see us being linked to. Which central defender would you go for DVIN? Assuming our budget is going to be between £3m-£6m for that position. (Which sounds on line with our recent 'important' transfers).
VillaChris
Pogba link is lies. We are linked to Jenkinson which sounds more like Sherwood Be a great addition if we could get him, but it'd only be for a year: Arsenal Do Not Want to Sell Jenkinson "But Wenger insists he wants to keep [Jenkinson] and will only consider another loan deal for the defender next season. Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Monday's game with Swansea, Wenger said: 'The decision is now whether to bring him back now or give him one more year on loan.'" I think if we bid enough we'd get him full time. Arsenal have Debuchy, Bellerin and Calum Chambers as right back options. He played really well for West Ham last season I thought and probably won't go there full time now Big Sam has gone. Would be happy with him. Ahem, better 'teams' you mean, not better 'clubs' You're right, changed it. True on Smalling maybe a tad ambitious. I think the others are possible. Benteke was known to be an up and coming talent like Praet and we got him. There are many better teams in the league than us but not clubs. Crystal Palace are not as attractive as us even though they finished higher and they're strongly linked with a top player like Cabaye! We are in the most lucrative league and the most widely covered league. I think players would jump at the chance to play for us I really do. There are 20 teams with squads of 25 meaning there are only 500 players who can play at most! Obviously we need to address the ownership.
