Rumours in Polish online sources are we are after this winger for GKS. 19 goals in 65 appearances for them

BELCHATOW, Poland. March 17 (PSN) – Aston Villa are monitoring the performance of PGE GKS Belchatow winger Michal Mak.

Scouts from the Premiership club recently sat in the Belchatow – Ruch Chorzow matchup on Monday to watch the 23-year-old.

This news comes little as a surprise due to the Belchatow player being under surveillance of foreign clubs for almost the whole season.

Last year scouts from RSC Anderlecht, among others visited Belchatow. At that time the player did not impress, and unfortunately so was the case on Monday where Mak did not have a good outing.

Mak did show great form at the beginning of the season which is where all the interest in him began.

Despite all the interest from foreign clubs the player himself believes that leaving Poland now for him would be too early.

“If I were to leave now, it would only be to a Polish club.” he told “Przegląd Sportowy”.

Several T-Mobile Ekstraklasa clubs have inquired about the player, such as Legia Warsaw, Lechia Gdańsk, Wisla Krakow and Lech Poznan.

Mak’s contract with GKS Belchatow will expire at the end of this year. This means that in June he will be able to start talks with other clubs.
