And so it goes on. We go again with no points on the board. Never mind. It's not Paul Lambert's fault.

Lambert's fault today was it then?

It never is according to some. He is just the manager. He can't be expected to pick a winning team.

I said today. Can you honestly point all the blame at Lambert for today?

Not for today but for the season.  He has been unlucky, that is a given, but let's take a few examples.

If an NHS hospital fails to meet standard targets, it will be the management responsible for that target, not the staff working under their guidelines,

If the local council fails to meet standard targets, it will be Councillors / management responsible for that target, not the general staff working under their guidelines.

If a chief executive fails to appease stakeholders, it will be the chief executive responsible, not the staff working under their guidelines.

If a manager fails to get results, it is the manager that is responsible, not the team.

Remember when West Ham signed Mascherano and Tevez, and their fans got all excited? Remember what happened next?

It turned out they were on loan but it didn't matter as they stayed up with Tevez scoring the winner at Old Trafford in the last game of the season?

I'd take that at this stage.

We are sliding down the table. ominous
