Just got back. Whilst I didn't see any fighting amongst our fans, can't say I'm surprised. The atmosphere was poisonous in the second half. Especially at the end with the double sending off as well.

One thing that was awful was that no player apart from Guzan came towards us at the end. Hutton did turn to us and clap but none of the others could be bothered. Shocking. We pay your wages you ungrateful b******s

Talk of the away fans fighting amongst themselves on Twitter. Grim day for the club all round.

Don't fans always fight amongst themselves on twitter?

Not sure if you're joking or not, but I mean there were fights in the away end, according to some on Twitter.

You did phrase it a bit weirdly. Currently watching Betis vs Tenerife - Betis being a side that have recently gone down despite being a top club for decades. Whole ground is singing despite the fact they're playing shit. If we did the same it might help, as difficult as it is. The whole club needs to change: the fans' attitudes, the owner, the manager and the players.

From what I read on here about our away fans, they have largely been excellent and much more vociferous in support of the side than the home crowd at VP, haven't they?

If that's turned to the kind of thing we've seen mentioned on here then I guess it'll be nigh on impossible for Lambert (and some of the players) to come back from it.

As someone that has stood up for Lambert it is very hard to defend him today.

As much as I love Gabby he only has pace and even then he's not fully using it - needs dropped and used as impact sub.

Cleverly offers us nothing we don't already have, he's a poor mans Westwood who i rate. Unless we get him on a free at end of season a extremely minimal transfer fee should be paid.

I have no issues with our goalkeeper or defence.

Joe Cole should never have been given a 2 year contract… his legs were gone during the warm up.

Sanchez off for Richardson? Seriously?

We have a naturally gifted winger in Grealish who didn't even make the bench today.

We have a naturally gifted goal scorer in Robinson who didn't even make the bench today.

We missed Delph going forward.

Something needs changed and soon. I'd love to see:

Tom Fox should acted a few weeks ago and got Pullis in .....missed a trick there ......I beleive he will go very soon......but who's next  ? Sherwood, Howe ?

I'd have howe in a heartbeat like his playing style and approach

What we need is someone like Roy Keane to come in as assistant manager who is not afraid to tell our players when they are behaving like entitled kids. Most of our problems at the moment stem from attitude problems (mainly Benteke, Gabby, Cleverley).

The few supporters lambert had left just got smaller. Shockingly poor today. Previously i slated the players for their performance but today lambert did **** all to chance it when we looked desperate after half time.

I dont know what direction Villa need to go next but changes need to happen. Part of me would hope lambert is given £20m to bring 3 players in. But then im not sure if he cud improve us that much with that

Sad times at Villa

lambert doesnt realise how lucky he is, i think even today when several sections tried to get "we want lambert out" going it was never 100% of the crowd, its negative and theres plenty of moaning but he gets away with murder, I've been in plenty of crowds that have sang and backed the lads for 90 minutes and we've been shit, been in crowds that have been subdued and we've been shit, its nothing to do with us

the worst part about today was even with 20 minutes left and 1 down, we never even looked like scoring, no pressure, no chances, no nothing, it was **** dire

Terrible. Just, terrible. We played the worse team in the league and they deserved to batter us. No movement, no plan, no chances. I don't remember hamer having to make 1 save in 95 mins of football. I don't agree with the 'Lambert out' chanting during the game but after 2 and a half years of shite, I am not surprised. I am also sick of players getting sent off-Clark hang your head in shame. He was probably our best player in the game but to do that is criminal. We have 1 fit center back  at the club at the moment, and we have Liverpool next.

We are going round in ever decreasing circles and best case scenario we will come about 14th again. Worse case, we get relegated unless someone urgent happens.

I am getting fed up of this.

A "villa fan" radio reporter on the Radio 5Live "606" said he witnessed several fights between Villa fans with kids being escorted out in tears !

Jeez ..... if it has got that bad then surely somebody at the club might think enough is enough, we really HAVE hit rock bottom !

That was my Dad. He got punched in the face because he said to the bloke he should get behind the team instead of calling for Lambert's head following a misplaced pass by Tom Cleverley in the 50th minute.

Embarrassed to call myself a Villa fan after today; both on and off the pitch we were a disgrace.

Sorry to hear that mate. Was he towards the front of the stand as I noticed something going on below where we were sitting? FWIW your dad is spot on - the team appeared to be affected by the Lambert Out chants today.
