Seat68 Posted September 18, 2014 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Was hoping the assembled masses of VT could help me, this song has bugged me for years as I think it sounds like an 80's tune, possibly by Big Country or someone, referring only to the first verse which kicks in at around the 15 seconds mark. veloman Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Don't know if this is the right thread for this comment but has anyone watched the Jeff Lynne concert on BBC 'Red Button'. I didn't much like ELO at the time; not just because of the Blues connection but just thought their stuff was a bit light-weight but move forward 30 odd years and their songs really stand up (IMO). The musicianship is ace - just watch the string section sight-reading their parts - and the numbers sound just like the record, even the excellent harmonies.
