Better for us than them, we've got to hope they've blown themselves out a bit, it will put a bit of a dent in their confidence and it might help ours - the first five ir ten minutes of the second half will be important - if we get through them, we can win this.

Are you serious, we have been played off the park for 95% of the half.

Lambert's ineptitude is really on show when we occasionally get the ball in a forward position. In the last few minutes Sanchez and Cissokho have both had the ball in forward positions. Both simply lofted a ball into the box, overhit, metres away from any Villa players. What are they being coached to do?

Do you think Lambert has them on remote control?
Its called coaching.
What's coaching got to do with over hitting a cross?
Over hitting a cross with no Villa players anywhere near the box? What's the point of crossing the ball, overhit or not, if the players aren't even getting into positions to receive the ball? Coaching has everything to do with the decisions the players make. If they'd been coached better, there would be an actual plan. The players would be on the same page. Ours clearly aren't. Most of the time, it's as if they've been told "Just play football!"

I fully agree with the last bit, but I don't think any managers say anything different.

Most managers get the best results by not overcomplicating things and confusing the players. They have to rely on the players own abilities for positioning etc. Trying to tell them to do this and that in certain situations just isn't realistic. They'll give simple instructions - 'stay tight on him', 'he always like to cut inside' etc. but advanced plays of where to stand and where to go during a particular situation in open play just doesn't get discussed. This isn't american football. Players have a split second to make a decision, you start making them hesitate while trying to remember what the boss said and you're in trouble.

You've watched football before haven't you? Because right now it seems not.

We could get smashed, sure. But we're in it.

N'Zog losing possession. Game over if weasel Downing could finish.

N Zog has done it time after time, get him off and play 4-4-2

Watch the game. Teams know he is probably the best player in out team an have at least 3 players round him every chance he has.

Not bad a bad half but I truely can never see a game plan. Looks like 1 up front and 10 at the back!!!

We're garbage. So sad to see :(

Wind your neck in and watch the game play out. We're 0-0 at half time against the form team in the league. Away.

Smash and grab could be on. Fingers crossed.

In the sense of "anything could happen" then you might be right. In terms of my post it is 100% correct.

What's the opposite of rose tinted glasses? Grey tints?

We haven't at all. They've had the more clear cut chances, more possession and been in our half more. But played off the park is massively generous to them.

And it's nil nil.

Which team is going to feel better about that?

we really are garbage. This team looks devoid of any confidence. Lambert has to go surely.

Grealish should be on the bench. He actually can control the **** ball. Our front three cant trap their own shit in a toilet.

Bring on Bacuna for Cleverley. He is useless. Bacuna may at least bring some enthusiasm or score from a free kick.

1 team has been dicked for practically the entire half and you think it was a better half for that team than the team who are controlling the game

West Ham have had 60% possession but in your eyes they have played us off the park for 95% of the half.  Go back to school!
